No, No, No, okay Yates and King but why Stone, didn't play firsts had Guerra, Sione, Barnett, Fitz, sometimes Esee in front what did he do wrongI'd be quite happy with Luke. I doubt he'll want to move all the way to Newcastle for a one year deal but if it's only two years, that'd be solid. Three is stretching it. A spine of:
1. Ponga
6. Watson
7. Pearce
9. Luke
Is up there with the best in the comp and perhaps the best spine we've had ever bar when Joey was wearing the 7. Any spine with Joey in the 7 was the best in the comp. Bedsy was class as well but Ponga, Pearce and Luke is gonna be pretty special.
I'm torn with Bird. If he comes cheap, then that's great but he did ditch us just a season ago... If it means we don't have to see Yates, King or Stone week in week out, I'd take him.
So what does that mean or is that like "no comment"beggars can't be choosers.
It's always nice to dream, but there's not a lot we can do if he's going to stay up there for less money. Clearly he's been drinking the Wayne/Brisbane kool aid.Sucks we missed out on TPJ...
No, No No
Bennett ignominiously being shown the door would be the next best thing to signing Pangai.
The interview I watched didnt have Pangai saying he was signing just that he owed the Broncos loyalty. Loyalty doesnt pay the bills, cash does.
yeh I thought it an odd signing for the Broncos at the time. They didnt actually need him, they had their spine locked up and yet paid Bird spine/marque money to join the club.Nah let the Broncos keep Jack Bird. They wanted to pay him almost $1m and now they regret it so let them lie in the bed they made for themselves. Also he strung us along for a while and clearly didn’t believe in what Brown & Mooney were doing here and said he wanted to stay in Sydney because of family but then signed with the Broncos anyway. Good riddance, he’s being paid insane money to sit on the sidelines and eat McDonalds so let him stay up there.
