Perhaps Klemmer has said to the Dogs that he wants to come up and play for us (probably knowing the sort of money we can throw at him) based on wanting to get out of Sydney and that he has family up there. They've probably said righto, you can negotiate with the Knights... but you're not getting a release until we have someone as good - whether from them or someone else.

Purely just speculating based on what is written, though. There aren't many reasons that it make sense that the Dogs would only let him speak with us. I'm sure we'll throw all the cash in the world at him to seal the deal, but perhaps there are some other motivations aside from the money - or at least that's how he's sold the request for release to the Dogs?

yeh I did read an article that said he was dealing with personal problems so I'm sure the "being close to family " card was played. They'll be waiting a long time to get a prop the same quality as Klemmer though so that's a concern. I rank him as the top prop in the game, and he hasnt hit his prime yet which is doubly exciting.

Scratch this, just read some of Gardiner's quotes this morning. According to us he's free to talk to everyone. More fake news, carry on gentlemen.

If Klemmer is allowed a release then he should be able to talk to all but could see that the Newcastle family bit would have Dogs saying ok but if that's the reason talk to Knights only.
Think his wanting to come to us is as much big money, family close by is motive for out, think if Dogs could offer close to us, say $800k p.a. He would take it and stay but that is Dogs problem no money.

His most publicised mate is Woods, now at Cronulla after funds problems at Dogs now read that problems at Cronulla over unauthorised payments so not likely that of course could work other way and bring Woods to Newcastle.

A move to Tigers doesn't sound like he has reasons for wanting out of dogs, hardly a move especially for family reasons, think it's all getting a bit confused with all the tidbits not adding up to why it started, I'm still hopeful he is ours as we make more sense.

Definitely. From what we've seen so far, he could be one of the best centres we'll ever have here should he continue to progress. Already looks better than most bar a couple of club legends.Origin not out of the question.

Gut feeling on Klemmer Mac - strong possibility or are we a pawn in the game???

Confident. Got a tip off over 6 months ago he wanted to bring his family here. He approached us - of course he knew we were interested, but he made the approach. My mail is his parents will be moving up here near his sister regardless.
