No secret Clifford isn’t the best trainer.
So when the team is going shit, they get flogged at training during the week.
Clifford needs a cuddle more than anything and unfortunately AOB isn’t that sort of coach.

I'm not dragging you anywhere, you plonked yourself there by looking down at others while being equally as clueless. If not moreso even - I had to educate you on the cap and roster situation.
Haha did you?

I know you have a bee in your bonnett regarding me cause I dare call this fanbase out on its hypocritical bullshit but f**k me you're self deluded

Roster overhauls are all Hypothetical at this stage but the club better know it has to be sure about their next coach and stick with it. Cos he has to be given the full reigns to re build the place.

Roster over hauls are a band aid fix and a pipe dream for the most part

There needs to be quality players coming onto the market to buy and even then we'd need to pay overs to get them here which intern buggers up our cap etc etc

What we really need is a huge focus put on our juniors and lower grade systems. Fixing the issues properly is going to take more time then we want to acknowledge

100% long term this is the solution - along with identifying and keeping the right talent and developing them into NRL players.

Short term we can be competitive with the right recruitment- only 2 years ago we were high on players desired destination list.

He’s pretty angry. I watched a training session in the pre season and he gave poor Jacob Kiraz a brutal spray about his positional play in defence. A few weeks later he was at the Bulldogs.

Kiraz looked pretty good last week..

and people just don’t respond to angry. At least not without more love than anger.

You definitely need the right balance that’s for sure. Don’t know what O’Brien is like all the time with the players but he can deliver a spray.

Well it does illustrate the delicate skill required to be a modern day coach and manager of the new generation of adults.

The polar opposite of my life experience. Certainly zero love shown after those types of performances.

This season was set up to fail the moment we couldn't replace Pearce with an experienced half.

Like it or not Clifford is not a leader and is a good secondary play maker. That's fine, there's room for that. But we don't have a halfback to lead the team. Clune was bought as a reserve and that's all he is. He is bad and you don't want him starting more than maybe 6 games a year as cover.

We obviously pursued Brooks hard and missed but given his form I think he'd have struggled here too.
We need a half with Hastings' f**k you attitude and the talent to back it up.

Combine this all with losing Brailey who's incredibly important to this team and we have 1/2 our spine as reserve grade quality, Clifford then regressing and we're left with KP looking around for any kind of support.

my issue is not so much that we dont have 2 top line halves more so than we don't have a recognised half outside of Clifford and Clune period.

He's probably not even an angry guy normally, he just coaches the Knights the poor bloke.
