Here’s the thing. I didn’t criticise your opinion at all, and I still haven’t. You are welcome to it.

You misinterpreted me pointing out that Frizell doesn’t make linebreaks (which was a direct response to someone saying it’s the bare minimum for a second rower) as my opinion comparing Fitz to him as a player full stop.

Once you realise the difference between the two, feel free to use some of your famed critical thinking to respond about how many linebreaks Frizell makes if you disagree.

If you’re going to go unnecessarily patronising, make sure you’re not the idiot at Comedy Central who’s missing the point first.

Fitz during the end of last year seemed to be going down hill and probably needed kick up the arse and i think he got it. Im happy, and unlike many in here can give him credit where its due

I was pleased with Fitzy’s performance. My big issue with him is his work rate more than his actual ability. He did plenty on both sides of the ball on Saturday and was dangerous. Made a few errors and had could’ve easily put Mann under the posts off one of the breaks in the 1st half, but there was far more good than bad.

I’m happy for him to stay on an edge and keep Barny in the middle.

Not sure about others but personally my gripe hasnt really been with Fitz as a player but more so how we used him. Last year Fitz was given the ball on that crash line like 90% of the times we shifted the ball left which wasn't often to begin with. I could understand the tactic if he was David Fifita or Viliami Kikau but hes not

Regarding Fitzgibbon... he bombs tries, drops balls and has just one trick in the bag. That's what he does. Until that changes, he remains a dud imo.

He hit hard on the weekend and his runs had a bit of purpose to them. Was probably in shock when he dropped the ball cold because he actually got put into a hole. Didn’t pass the ball to set up a possible try, but also didn’t force a pass that missed its mark and resulted in a turn over.

I’ve seen enough of him in that match to give him until mid-season before I write him off as a lost cause. Getting a proper pre-season for the first time in 2-3 years and hopefully remaining injury free might see him get a bit of his mojo back.

Is his contract up for renewal or something? Didn't he have an ongoing injury last year? He did look more 'effective' on the weekend to be fair. He gets a 5/10 from me. He will need to get at least 7/10 on a weekly basis for me to be convinced.

Would like to know the list of players Zammit was scouting in the UK. It has been a more NRL style football they are playing this year. Not sure if it is the influx of senior NRL players and coaches or their six again interpretations. Wolfy has St Helens looking unbeatable. Morgan Knowles in particular is standout backrower. I’d rate him over Bateman. The football across the competition just looks a lot more like it should if they want to start competing with us.

recently re-signed I think, didnt like the Knights offer, went to market to test his value and there were no takers. ( no suprises ) Hope he's on a pie and a coke.

He's a good squad filler, one of those players " In Emergency Break Glass " , type of guy you use if there's no one else available.

I'm fairly certain when we next lift the trophy Fitz will not be in the picture on the back page in a dirty jersey.

Toohey's News

- The club has begun talks to re-sign Jirah Momoisea & Simi Sasagi, and are keen to keep Phoenix Crossland too. All 3 are free agents for 2023.
- Knights are giving nothing away following reports they're chasing Will Pryce & Kai Pearce-Paul from England, but Toohey suggests they're a good chance to land one or both if they decide to make the move to Australia. Both are under contract and would require releases (and likely transfer fees).
- A final decision on Anthony Milford should come in the next 3 or 4 weeks. He'll be back in court to fight his charge in early April.
- Edrick Lee will finally make his return to the field this week, lining up for the NSW Cup team to face the Magpies in Wyong on Monday.
- Sauaso Sue & Brodie Jones are both on track to be available for round 3. I assume they'll return via NSW Cup too.
