Flanngan does look terrible. Can't say he is any better than Crossland. Can see why he cops a lot of flak.

Just watching some Joey highlights, how much would he worth under the cap in 2002? Surely teams would line up to sign him for $1.5m?

Now I might be biased here but.......he is without doubt a football GOD, the greatest player I have ever seen bar none. I'd throw 2 million at Johns surround him with whatever is left over and win back to back premierships.

Kurt Man is in 17, probably 13 because he is better than 12 to 15 top 30. His versatility and obvious love by the coach means he plays every week. If he plays outside the 13 we are in good position, outside the 17 we have signed some good specialist players

Nope. 14 because of the positives you mentioned.

Starting is beyond his capabilities, regardless of competition for any slot.

But then there’s Maude (O’Brien).

edit: Just realised I agree somewhat. Cheers.

Toohey's News (recruitment stuff first)

- Adam Elliot expected to make a decision in the next few weeks. Only mentions the Knights and Raiders as options. Millie Boyle also now a confirmed target for the NRLW side.
- Knights now considered heavy favourites to sign both Kai Pearce-Paul & Will Pryce.
- Bradman Best may be the one to make way for Gagai when he returns. Toohey says it would've likely been Best making way rather than Tuala if Gagai had played vs the Bulldogs. A try and a try assist last night may have changed that.
- Anthony Milford probably won't be named in the starting 17 on Tuesday but very likely will be starting in the halves come game day. Gagai, Frizell & Mann will likely return and Clifford also a possibility.
- 2 SG Ball players, Oryn Keeley & Paul Bryan, were flown into QLD to train with the top squad this week. Keeley is a second-rower and was consistently a standout in all the games I watched this season. Bryan is a prop who was just named in the QLD u/19's squad.

It defies belief that Tuala is considered anything but our 2nd string left-wing option. And that is second best to a guys who just missed 40 games through injury. And arguably third best, when Hunt is fit.

Best has been poor, but come on.
