If he plays in the halves then our spine is sorted as it seems BA has a thing for Pritchard and sees him as our long term 9 with either French or Gutherson at 1. With Vave we have a replacement for Junior. I don't see where we will lose out on any positions that are NEEDED.

I agree 100%.

And if Jarryd insists on playing fullback?

Everyone was more than happy to pay a pill popping, gambling, depressed half with no kicking game $1.2m yet if it's Hayne it's not on.

Mate I think it's time for Jake to let go of the plumber comments and you to give the Foran stuff a rest. Bi-polar is not a lifestyle choice. FMD you would not be saying shit like this if he had cancer, both of which are diseases that you would not wish on your worst enemy.

unless bevan steps up another level, you have to play hayne at fullback. bevan becomes the understudy and if he out competes hayne, then fair enough. if they are putting 5-10kg on bevan in the off season, it may effect his performance/speed making hayne no.1 for sure.

No, it's ok Gronk, he's allowed to because he's super famous in Parra Footy circles.. Just ask him, he'll tell you.

OK, and if signing Hayne to play fullback costs us a replacement half, then what?

Hayne is not a 6. He's been tried their in the past and failed. Norman to be our 6 and we need to find a 7.

Don't you think that there might be other factors why Hayne's spell at No.6 did not result in a string of wins ?

1. Luke BURT
2. Etuate UAISELE
3. Justin HORO
4. Ben SMITH
19. Chris HICKS

6. Jarryd HAYNE
7. Casey McGUIRE

8. Tim MANNAH
9. Matthew KEATING
10. Fuifui MOIMOI
11. Nathan HINDMARSH (c)
12. Taniela LASALO
16. Mitchell ALLGOOD

15. Shane SHACKLETON
17. Pat O'HANLON
23. Rory BRIEN
25. Justin POORE

Nah it was all Haynes fault, I mean look at that star studded roster. If you can't make it at 6 with that lot you are a failure.

Is it just me, or woyld a spine of French, Hayne, Norman and Pritchard be pretty shit for 2017?

Three blokes with no recent NRL starting experience in the positions we'd be relying on them for... only Norman (after his off-field reform) to really rely on.

No I don't. For all of Hayne's brilliance, he is a pretty selfish type of player and some might argue that had something to do with out lack of success for most of the years he was with us. (along with plenty of other problems). And Hayne got more than just one go at 6 over the years, and not just with that line up you have chosen to show.
He does not have the game to game temperament to play in the halves. That is why fullback suits him, he can be individualistic and play his own game to an extent whereas he can't do that at 6.
Its like Greg Inglis, he can fill in at 6 and have a good game here and there, he even won grand final playing at 6. However he is not a full time 6, it just does not suit his game, same as Hayne.
If we are going to be a contender for the title next year we need to find a good half to partner Norman.

He's a selfish type of player...who regularly led the team for try assists and LBA's?

Basically people who think Hayne can't play 6 have no idea...he essentially played in the halves in attack for us anyway. We have two fullback options in Gutherson and French. Neither of them are a fraction if the half that Hayne already is. If we sign Hayne, he plays 6.

Agree, his last 2 years he played exactly the way that Morgan plays from the Cows does now. Only difference is that Hayne can run the ball like Morgan and pass the ball like JT.

That does not mean he would be a good half and he has shown in the past he is not up to playing in those crucial positions. And yes he was a selfish style of player, brilliant talent but selfish and on occasion lazy.
