Don;t we have a few players that qualify for the long serving player allowance? Meaning it is not just Mannah's salary that gets the benefit of it.
There is only one LSPA per club so regardless what Bazal says if Mannah is on $600k+ he is still taking $300k+ off the cap. Regardless, he is not worth more than $300k imo and with the difference we could sign a promising young player that may develop into a good player. Mannah has already reached his maximum potential several years ago.

Well, this is all just ridiculous.
Firstly, Hayne has shown more than "glimpses" in the years apart from 2009. He was a fantastic player in the years before then, and was an outstanding player in an incredibly shithouse team in the yeas after. In 2014, when we finally had a team that could win a few games, he won the player of the year award.
I will admit he hasn't shown more than glimpses since his return to RL, but was it because he was playing in a team that he didn't want to be in, or because he has completely lost the ability to play in that time?

Secondly, I don't know much about Union, but to say George Gregan is only famous because of one tackle is ludicrous. The bloke played for, and captained, his country for a very long time. He is considered among Union experts to be one of Australia's greatest ever players.

Lastly, Hewitt was world number one for over a year. He didn't just win one tournament. Admittedly, his was a style of game that wasn't going to be able to compete with the players who emerged just after him (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic). I guess he was lucky to find his best form after the old guard of Sampras, Agassi but before those other guys.
Hewitt is a small man in a big man's game. Like all players in whatever sport where size matters the little men get worn down because they have to perform at or near their maximum every time they play. Think he won 3 titles plus the Masters which is where the best 8 players during the year compete against each other to determine the best.

I went up to Nathan Hindmarsh and asked him if Hayne had made any records at training. He burst out laughing and said 'Haynsee is the not only the worst trainer I have played with but the worst trainer I have ever seen'. True story happened at a Rouse hill rhinos junior game. Also it's all over the media.

So as expected no evidence, Hayne has ever been a poor trainer under BA!!!

Players at their peak helps you be more competitive right now. You’re implying that being competitive in the future is more important.
I think what he's implying is that Mannah is not going to improve anymore and that there are younger players just as good or better. That are getting better and better. Alex Twai for example. We should of tried to offload Mannah instead of Paulo.

I can't predict the future but by going by his past at the eels and his obvious problems at the Titans. The future is not looking good.

 haven't you read all the articles with quotes from BA over the last couple of days? He has no issue with Hayne or his attitude from coaching him in the PAST!!

And he won the Daily M the last time he played under BA, playing probably the most consistent footy of his career!!

SO BASED ON THE HISTORY
OF BA AND HAYNE, THE FUTURE LOOKS f**kEN GREAT!!'

So are you saying you have more knowledge then BA, a full time coach who is around players almost every day for 9 or so months of the year, on Hayne ?

So do you think BA would sign Hayne if he had any issues with him? Or if Haynes attitude would affect the culture of our club after it has taken him 4 years to build ? BA did let Foran go, he let sandow go, so I really doubt he signs Hayne if there are issues!!

My comment was that Hewitt never reached the height of winning Wimbeldon. Even by making some finals. He never reached that height again. It was still downhill and it was fairly rapid.
His win/loss record is more granular (and therefore more useful) than just looking at the number of finals he won.

Of course BA is not gonna come out and say he sucks at training. Let's just wait and see what happens when Hayne is playing like he has been since he came back from NFL. Let's see what happens when Hayne gets dropped for a couple of matches.

Then they will surely cost more. That’s how supply and demand work.
No they won't cost more until there contract is up. That's how it usually works, It's a bit like Semi. He was probably the best winger in the Como and he was on peanuts. That's the beauty of rookies plus I'm positive we could find a better prop than Mannah with his money. Even in the UK
