Let's just wait and see what happens when Hayne is playing like he has been since he came back from NFL.

Gather you mean he hasn't been playing like a $1.2 million player - and I agree, he has been playing more like a $300k - 500k player!!

But BA knows what he is getting !!

Alot of players dislike there coach but they still work hard for them. It sounds like Hayne was being a real prick at the Titans. Neil Henry was the boss not Hayne. I've heard Henry speak in interviews. He sounds decent. He is not known to bump heads with players. He is described as one the best tacticians in the game. Hayne ruined his tactics by not listening and doing things his way (lazy style). When are you guys gonna realise Haynes head is the size of a beach ball. If you watch him play live then you will see how everyone is doing there job but him.

Roosters won't let Napa fly the coop

There’s been plenty of speculation about the future of Queensland State of Origin prop Dylan Napa - but I can reveal he is going nowhere.

Napa has been linked with Parramatta for weeks and the Eels would love to get their hands on the flame-headed prop.

But the Roosters have told Napa he will be seeing out his contract next season - even though they weren’t happy with the way he finished last season.

Napa lacked his usual fire as the Roosters bombed out of the finals but is too talented a player not to come good in 2018.

Not known to bump heads? Is that why he left the Raiders and Cowboys amidst player disharmony?

The bloke is a poor man's Brian Smith, acts like a school principal. He's at least as guilty as Hayne

No they won't cost more until there contract is up. That's how it usually works, It's a bit like Semi. He was probably the best winger in the Como and he was on peanuts. That's the beauty of rookies plus I'm positive we could find a better prop than Mannah with his money. Even in the UK

I'd assert he was the best winger in the whole of the Shire at least, not just Como....

Henry has been sacked from his last 2 clubs due to his rumoured poor man management skills.

Even JT told the cowboys when asked, that the club needed to make a coaching change.

well duh

there's only one way to go after being ranked number one

you are trying to say he faded away into oblivion yet he remained a top ten player
Sure he was pretty good after Wimbeldon. Do you remember how he was out Round 1 at the next Wimbeldon. Never had happened before. Especially after that he dropped off. I don't think I've ever witnessed a player drop off like he did. Might have been injuries. Who knows. Geez a lot of Hewitt butt lovers. The guys a wanker.

Interesting, can you please expand and advise what these tactics were and what did Hayne not listen to?
His kick returns are shocking, Kick returns are what gets momentum happening. Slater, Moylan and teddy do these very well. He doesn't support players well. Sure he will pull it off sometimes but he could do it a lot better. His positional play especially after coming back from NFL is total crap. Coaches nightmare. I feel like making a video of all the times he does these things.

You sure about that?

Average kick return for 2017:
Slater - 8 metres
Moylan - 7 metres
Tedesco - 9 metres
Hayne - 8 metres

He doesn't seem so shocking compared to those players!!

Ok a coach gives his team tactics to follow through with. When Hayne does these things it disrupts the tactics the coach had given to his players. A tactic could be we are going to beat them up the middle with second phase play. If Haynes in lazy mode which is often. Then that disrupts this tactic.

Wasn't Hayne not playing fullback for most of the season?

No he played mostly fullback anyhow the stat is based on actual kick returns!! If he was lazy it would show in the stat compared to these other "elite" players!!

So just assumptions ??

Maybe poor coaching by Henry then!! everyone knows Hayne isn't a high involvement player around the middle (he is 100kg).

BA showed in 2014 how best to use Hayne.

BTW - how does winning the middle with second phase work ? And why would it involve Hayne in the middle? Wouldn't you want Hayne out wide when using this tactic? For example, forward offloads to hooker / half who then spreads it out wide, hoping to put Hayne one on one against another (hopefully retreating ) back and using his strength - his running game (a lot like the tactic we used in 2009)

My take on this is pretty simple and BA said it best recently. In the current structure of the current team, Hayne simply needs "to do his job". He doesn't need to be the superstar, we have a much more balanced team these days around accountability and team work.

If BA can coach Hayne to simply "do his job" well and do it each week, then at 500k he'll be a very good buy.
