I like the idea of Adam Reynolds especially seeing that he is also possibly the best goal kicker in the comp. However I cannot see Souths letting him go.

I'd seriously be tempted in signing Carney. He is dynamic and also a competent goal kicker.

The Dragons are now desperate and will more than likely land Hastings for overs. Benji Marshall is past it.

As HJ stated we either go for Robson or Degois for another year but not both. From all reports Cameron King is a poor defender as is Segeyaro which is why I think we never chased him. Cameron King will however be desperate to re-sign or his opportunity will finally pass to play at the highest level.

I agree Marshall is passed it but he could be an option for a year if no one else is available. Norman is our number half now so he would only have to take a support role.

Not sure hasting will head to the dragons, he may not see it best for his career.

Marshall will be 32 next year and even worse than this year. If we are serious about aspirations to be a top 8 let alone a top 4 side, we need to be after better than him. His speed is gone, his recent injury record means he will more than likely only play 50% of games and he doesn't nor ever had, the ability to lead a team around the park.
We have the attacking weapon in Norman, we need the steady hand to compliment him. I would rather throw One of our 20's halves in than get Marshall.

If the Club thinks that Adam Reynolds is the best option available then after 1 November we should just sign him to a long term deal from 2018 and let Souths decide if their Club is better off having a player play in a key spine position in 2017 knowing that he will be playing elsewhere in 2018.

If Carney is the player they want then he will be less problematic in having him here next season.

You'd have to think Hastings will get a small fortune from the Dragons.

Mannah is a player that we can still pay a hefty salary too, but not have in our Top 17, given that $300k of his salary is not included in the salary cap. He's probably not in the Top 17 of players under our cap at the moment anyway once you put in the $300k discount.

Doesn't mean we should be paying $300k to somebody who's not in our full strength top 17.

I don't think Marshall is 'past it', he is just past his prime. But at his prime he was a superstar. When your prime was that good, 'past your prime' is still a lot better than plenty of other players.

Is Marshall any worse than Blake Green? His team are currently premiership favourites. Benji Marshall would be the second best halves option at our club after Norman.

I reckon Pou understands leadership. He just doesn't know who provides good leadership. He banged on about Watmough being a great leader. 12 months later Watmough admits his heart wasn't in playing for the eels and never plays again. He then banged on about Foran being a great leader that the club needs. 6 months later Foran succumbs to mental health issues, OD's in a suicide attempt and is possibly involved in match fixing and never plays again. Pou can you please not make predictions on who our next great leader will be?

I have coffee with a few souths supporters. Gee pathetic bunch. Telling them they are worse team in comp. Newcastle don't have a squad that was top 8 material. Souths where expected to be back in top 4 with burgess. What a disaster of a club at the moment. They actually putting money on souths to beat storm.
