Do you want to know who the next great leader will be? He is young and wont be there for 3-4 years but Alex Twal will lead the club. Lion heart this kid
He looks like a sex pest but everything (else) seems to point to him having a great attitude.

Doesn't mean we should be paying $300k to somebody who's not in our full strength top 17.

If we're paying him $450k, he's essentially only costing us $150k under the salary cap. He's worth more than $150k a year. But if he's not here we don't get the $300k discount.

BURLEIGH BEAR EEL-ECTRIC
THE Intrust Super Cup continues to produce NRL stars of the future with Burleigh sensation Jamal Fogarty agreeing to terms with the Parramatta Eels.

In a sign the Titans cannot take local talent for granted, the Eels have swooped on livewire halfback Fogarty, who has steered Burleigh to within striking distance of the minor premiership this season.

The 22-year-old had a stint in the Gold Coast under-20s but was unable to crack the big league at the Titans. This season, Fogarty has been in lethal touch and is currently the ISC’s leading pointscorer with 214.

Former Easts Tigers playmaker Cody Walker has impressed this season at Souths and with Kieran Foran unlikely to return to the Eels, Fogarty could be a scrumbase solution.

Mannah is a player that we can still pay a hefty salary too, but not have in our Top 17, given that $300k of his salary is not included in the salary cap. He's probably not in the Top 17 of players under our cap at the moment anyway once you put in the $300k discount.
You do realise that the long serving player allowance doesn't go to the player but rather to the total salary cap allowance we can spend on the whole top 25. Just sayin'.

Yes I do realise that. But when you have only one player in the club who makes the club eligible to receive the discount, then both Mannah and the long serving player allowance are pretty much tied to each other at this present time.

Interesting signing, I gather we won't re-sign Kelly or Cornish as a result.

Id prefer to have a young guy with potential than a guy of know lack of quality. Id say Robson-Kelly or Cornish stay. Id chase Sam William for Wenty thou.

Mannah is the only player eligible, and the only player anywhere near eligible given that we sent Morgs to Melbourne. So, if Mannah goes, there is nobody else with sufficient tenure to use the allowance on.

Why would Sam Williams leave the Raiders, as their back up half, to come to Parra as the back up half and play for Wenty?
