I reckon BA saw a guy he could turn into a top shelf prop. But when he come his attitude was not what he expected and reason why he dropped him.
He would of seen good old Terepo tearing it up at training and gave him his chance.

That’s not what I said. He was playing a different role at the Roosters to what was expected of him at the eels. He wasn’t up to it...at least in 2018.

I agree. The thing is though, if BA thought he could turn him into a top shelf prop, there’s no reason other clubs wouldn’t either. That would have driven his price up.

So Evans attitude was good enough for 3 months of the pre season to get picked in the top 17, but then his attitude turned to shit after 4 weeks?

I just think BA over rated him, paid too much for him and then after 4 weeks realized he wasn’t up to scratch.

3 years+ contracts should only be reserved for the game's elite, and when ba is offering 3 year deals to Evans and Hoffman and a 4 year contract to an injured croc like Watmough, you can see why Parramatta cant afford to purchase the best players.

Forget tpa's - Parramatta have probably 2 million tied up with average players, and we're also subsidizing players like Corey.

Its no wonder management has now taken full responsibility for recruitment.

Yes I still think KE was paid overs.He played rnd 1,2,3,6 before dropped alltogether.

He come back later in year. Had a few good games where made 125mtrs+ twice.

What is he worth and what was he paid? In all seriousness he is still worth 150- 200k. And if we took a gamble and paid him closer to 300k hoping he produced more so f**king what.Its bugger all.We needed a big man. Now we had to throw 700k at Jnr. Isn't that a bigger concern? He is certainly an NRL starter but he might play at a 400k level. Then look at Woods. A 400k prop who landed a 800k+ contract.Then cut lose and still costing the dogs.

We also had Norman on 800k playing like a 300k half and same goes for Moses and MJ. While guys like Hoffman,Bevan and possibly Taka are all on too much to play Wenty.

But people want to wine about guys like W.Smith. They arent the problem.

I don't see it as a major problem. Not sure where you got that impression.

Just can't see how Evans would have signed with Parra for less than $250-$300K. I could be wrong though. None of us actually know.
