Wouldnt surprise me if he's on 450k+ atm

I think 250k to maybe 300k would be a fair offer under the current cap
It’s certainly possible. Tep is a good fill in for injuries and that’s about it. You want most of your backups less than $200k but I concede he has experience and could do a job short term in the middle or edge. Perhaps $250k at an absolute stretch but he offers less than a 35 year old in Gower who would be on less than that.

Says a lot when a 35yo is a better option over Tep.

He's a much better defender than Gower. Though attacking ability seems to be where the money is spent.

For a quick rule of thumb look at their fantasy points. These are derived from real stats, and provide good comparison between years for a given player as well as more general comparison between different players.

I had a look at his Supercoach points:

2016: Avg points 43, Avg min: 60
2017: Avg points 47, Avg min: 59
2018: Av points 46, Avg min: 62
2019: Av points 38, Avg min 41

He has played less minutes this year but his points (per minute) are pretty much the same each year. He was never in 'much better form'. His form this year is similar to previous years. He has always been a plodder and paid on potential that he never reached. It is only now that BA has realised his level of plod and reduced his minutes eventually dropping him.

Compelling. In fact, you could argue based on points per minute that this year has been close to his best...and he has been ordinary.

Nah generally the longer minutes you play the 'gap' between points per minute and minutes played stretch out (not just Tepai either). I reckon his stats this year are comparative to previous years, which are all shit

Really?

Tep may have a bit better work rate but has a worse tackle efficiency. Purely from an observational point of view, Gower seems to get back to an effective marker position more often than not (the wrestle)...something that tep has consistently struggled with. I certainly wouldn’t say he’s a MUCH better defender.

But I would say Gower is a MUCH better attacker.

Tep has been turned into a fat middle forward..

He had speed and alot of skill it has all gone to waste...

Its interesting how inconsistent players who are or have been off contract this year have been. Wtf allowed so many off contract this year should be shot.

There was a time when players did it for their love of the game, not especially for the big bucks. It's now called professionalism.
