13 , 8 Mannah, 10 Wicks, 16 Vave, 17 Brown
11. Mau 12. Scott 15. KE

After 2 weeks
Daniel Alvaro, Peni, Gower
I reckon we'll have a top 17 and stick to it as much as possible. If you're constantly changing, the timing in set plays can become slightly off. Plus the players in Wenty should be stepping up their game to push for a first grade spot.
Actually, we don't have that many edge forwards but possibly the middle forwards are rotatable.

They shouldn't upset the rhythm too much.
Peni could probably be ahead of vave and brown. Alvaro probably on par or slightly below.

I dont see Gower in the mix anymore unless there are injuries.

What do you gain by swapping them over though? There are some that are better than others, as fans we don't really know but the coaches see them at training every day and have a much better understanding of the game than we do and that's why you see coaches trot out the same team every week despite what players we deem to be on the same level.

We mightn't have a rotational policy per say but we may see players jump up or down in the pecking order depending on form and what they do on the training paddock. But I reckon BA will have his top 17 ready in Round 1 and will pick that team for as long and as often as he can.

If our back-up (non-top 17) forwards are getting regular runs in Wenty - perhaps with the exception of a rotating 18th man that travels with the first grade squad each week - then BA already knows what the likes of Gower, Alvaro, Terepo and O'Brien can do.

He can call on any of them to fill a spot made vacant through injury spot, or if someone (like Mannah?) is simply struggling and needs a week off.

Brad Arthur has done an amazing job of building this squad, and keeping them focussed despite last year's squad disruptions (largely due to Seward's idiocy and Sharp and Co giving Seward free reaign).

Hasson i find interesting...... Big body and mobile. One of those guys who has a body that develops slow. Big frame and if he can add 5-8kgs could be a suprise packet.

Why should the bloke get paid for a player option year that he couldn't fulfill. He got paid all of this year and a part of the year before to watch footy from the sideline. Fair suck.

isn't he supposed to be retired due to injury? and now he wants to be paid because he is supposedly fit to play

either he was bullshitting about being injured last year or he is bullshitting about being fit now which is it merkin?

It looks like he bullshitted about how injured he was to help us out with our salary cap drama. He's been playing well full of needles for years. There's no reason he couldn't keep going a couple more.

And even if he'd transferred his consciousness into a monkey, I suspect he'd still be legally entitled to take up that option.

recovery from niggling injuries. 1 extra week in recovery does alot for a player.
