How many Premierships does Chad Townsend have?

How many Premierships does super-talented Mitchell Moses have?

I'd wager the reason the Warriors didn't keep him is because Payten was desperate for a leader in his team, and paid decent coin - which the Warriors were not keen to match.
Shane Perry has won more premierships than Moses. Saying player X is better than player Y just because they won a premiership is over simplistic. Townsend was hooked from the field during the finals when the Sharks won the premiership. Make no mistake, Maloney was the general behind that Sharks premiership. Why would a struggling side like the Warriors not be wanting to pay decent coin for a leader? Do they not need one?

Just like Reynolds. Souths wanted to keep him, but Brisbane wanted him more. It's the same with the players we lost for next year.
Souths are a grand final team had who had to prioritise certain players and decided there were others who were a higher priority than Reynolds.

Townsend won't work with the players we have. That's my point, that's why he was shit at the Warriors and last few seasons at the Sharks.

Cowboys are a perfect foil for him. Kick pass not expected to win games.
Agreed. If he played for the Eels we would be bemoaning him for his lack of creativity. Moses is expected to be the general and conjure up plays that lead to points. They have different roles in their respective teams.

I'm not saying he's a better player because he won a Premiership - I'm saying he's a better player because, despite being far less talented, he has a cool head, is reliable, is a genuine leader, and can be counted on to do his job.

Souths were unwilling to retain Adam Reynolds - clubs make boneheaded decisions; as an Eels fan, you should know this better than most!

Plot spoiler FFS!
Time for Simonson and penisni to have a Stint in Reggie’s

Watching yesterday's games made a few things clear to me. Russell will be a good player - but he's not a winger. Perham will be a good player (maybe better) but he's not a winger. Simonson is a good player, but he's not a winger. Sivo is a good winger - with fairly significant limitations.
Pennisini is a good centre, but not sure how much better he will become. Maybe too early to tell? Or is he a tad over-rated at this point? We do need another right winger, though.

Blake is wasted at centre and is a very good winger. Russell should take that centre spot vacated by him. Simonsson is ordinary and should go to the Dolphins.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Penisini's, but he could use a stint in NSW Cup not as punishment, but as a way to help him develop his game further, and give him some confidence.

He's not even 20 years old yet, and he's playing at a high level against seasoned players.

I believe Russell will be our long-term fullback.

Perham makes a handy centre, though his defence is questionable sometimes.

Interesting observations.
Over the last few years we seem to have been focussed on developing forwards and forgetting about outside backs, however if you add Haze Dunster into the mix, we actually have been looking to bring some young outside backs through who might develop into something decent.

1. Simonnson
2. Sivo
3. Russell
4. Penisini
5. Dunster
6. Drown
7. Moses

Not a totally shoddy backline and definitely not the worst in the comp.
Add Cini and Perham to the list and there is good combination of skill and youth in that.

Klemmer averages 150mtrs and 32 tackles at 97% not terrible.
Fair enough but I reckon we are better off concentrating on our youth like Rodwell and they can complement the old blokes in the pack. You might have heard our new hooker is in his early 60's as well.
