Looks like the pro Ba apologists are happy to derail this thread so their love child and his son stop getting hammered pillar to post.

I'm very pro-LGBTQI, but this is a storm in a tea cup.

Those 7 players do not hate homosexuality; they simply feel uncomfortable wearing a jersey that promotes something that they feel conflicted about, due to their religious beliefs.

Tbh, I had a much bigger issue with Israel Folau using social media to push his Christian views about homosexuality - that was more far-reaching, and offensive.

I don't think politics should mix with sport, anyway, and if it does, players should reseve the option to respectuflly disagree with the decision to promote a cause they don't agree with.

I've actually met Josh Aloiai, and he is a very humble person; I would be genuinely surprised if he had a hateful fibre in his being.
Agreed…though your version won’t sell papers 🤷🏼‍♂️

Apparently it’s ok for males to cross dress. Would all you be supportive if management wanted eels players to wear dresses?

In what context?

And how is it comparable to homosexuality - I don't recall many cross dressers being raped, bashed, murdered, etc., but there is a litany of hate crimes that have been perpetrated against gay people over the decades...

Your analogy here would imply that Manly are forcing their players to have homosexual relations or get sex changes

Not in the slightest. If you don’t believe in a community of some sort, are you going to voluntarily show support to them by wearing their shirts? And if you don’t, does it make you a hater?

Sorry, don't follow your logic here. Nothing that Manly are doing is requiring their players to engage in 'non-straight' behaviour. If the Eels management wanted the players to wear a shirt supporting the right of others to cross-dress, it would be rather weird, but I wouldn't see the problem with it.

Cross dressers are a minority. Do we have to support every minority group there is? Where does it end?

You said cross dressing is ok, therefore supporters should also cross dress. You know you can support something without actually partaking in it?
I support indigenous rights. Should I put on black face to show my support?

Anyone who is pro-euthanasia is in for a shock
