What you have said here about BA is basically why most fans are questioning BA's judgement when it comes to his son.

As it has gone against the grain of what he has done in the past when it comes to young players. He has let them develop in lower grades to the point where they either haven't been developed into first graders or been brought in slowly.

Over the past 5-6 years he has given limited opportunities to other young players & also hasn’t found a way to slip them onto the bench on a semi regular basis outside of Will Penisini in recent times who is a regular starter.

Well apparently it fell through so it's all moot now...

Meanwhile the Roosters and Storm identify holes in their roster and get shit done. We seem to twiddle with our knobs until the 11th hour and miss the boat.... It's a little thing but it's another example of how far we still have to go to operate like the successful outfits....

You think he hasn't been brought through slowly? The merkin has only played 220 minutes this year. That's less than three full games. Kaufusi played more than that the year he turned 20.

Plus the other night Lane was so gassed it wasn't funny. Papalii has had his moments when gassed he starts arm grabbing. There is a direct swap if need be for a few minutes. If you can't trust a guy to do a job for 5-10 minutes then clearly there's a problem with training, mentoring and feedback for the younger players

That's why I hate his use of the bench

Just coz your paid more doesn't mean you play longer minutes. Its got to be closer to optimal.

Yeh, but it takes 2 to tango. The Knights may only have been willing to let him go for 2022 if we took over at least the majority of his remaining contract.
