Rumours and Stuff

Being a great trainer and kid is all well and good. But doesn't guarantee success at first grade. I am sure there are plenty of young kids out there who train just as hard as Jake but don't have connections to help break through to the top grade.

Outside of a grubber kick behind the line that comes off once every every now and then. I have seen nothing to suggest Jake will be anything special.

He still looks like he is playing at a Ron Massey cup speed in first grade. Slow and labourours in everything he does.

I blame his father who should never have put him in this situation.

I doubt there are too many young kids that train as hard or show the effort as him.

There are alot of talented kids that give up when they realise how much effort they have to put in to make it..

Let's be honest he isn't going to be a Moses or Brown type of player but he is going to be a good backup half that's not taking a chunk of the cap.

Jake is still so young.

He has the physical attributes, and a good footy brain, combined with a string work ethic, and a mentally-tough attitude.

I don't see why he can't improve his game.

I don't think he should play much First Grade until he's worked on his game, but I think he will end up as a solid NRL-level halfback.

Anyone who reaches the NRL level is a pretty special rugby league player.
Comparatively, sure. But in that case I'm sure Jake Arthur would've dominated his age group, or even Ron Massey cup this year. He was one of the best playmakers in reserve grade ffs

Exactly that is the problem.

Self-entitlement with some of these blokes is incredible.

Fancy driving with a suspended licence.
And I'm sure he has been caught at least once before for driving while suspended. Some merkins just don't understand the gravity of their actions or don't believe rules apply to them.

He seems like a nice enough fella but shit like this really lowers my opinion of him...

His best work was done on the set of the Goonies.

If you asked me 7 years who was the bigger arsehole Sam Burgess or James Graham i would have said Graham.

Now its Burgess.

Not only that James Graham is great ambassador off the field, talks intelligentially on fox and the radio and there is no BS with him.

Plus he doesn't have any off-field incidents that we know off.

His greatest crime was biting Billy Slater's ear in the GF and putting vasoline on his legs.

Waqa will be in the team. With the money he's on he won't be in reserve grade. Asi walks into the utility role imo kids a gun.
Do we have him just for the 1 year?
I see poor old Sam Burgess being picked on again by the cops.

How many chances does he want in life before he grows up.
Give him a break, he’s only had 34 offences since his been in the country….he’ll come good!!

I can forgive him biting Slater's ear (obviously); but that Vaseline business ......??

Yeah, James Graham's on field antics never really matched the persona off the field. It's a strange one, you can only put it down to passion and emotion whilst playing I guess. Adam McDougall was similar in this way, although not as crazy on the field as Graham, but he also always came across as a smart guy in post football life.
