Rumours and Stuff

Yeah I thought you were attacking me on perceived mental health grounds and then doubled down on it. Silly me. Now I realise you were just concerned and so I'm returning the favour. You seem a bit preoccupied with other people's motivations and I don't want you to spiral. I'm looking out for you mate.
You seem to be copying other people's material and words a lot since the tanty... have you ran out of puff or original ideas?

The plan should have been to not sign him at all. That’s how you eliminate risk not just mitigate it.
Actually, the risk was that the loss of Mahoney meant we had no NRL experienced dummy half, except for Rein.
The mitigation was Hodgson however there are often many layers to risk (and to implementing a strong mitigation) and we skipped over these and didn't mitigate the inherent risk that signing Hodgson brought.

I am not certain Yates is in our best 17 but i am certain Hodgson isn’t

you would go to any lengths to justify any mistake by the club or coach, wouldn’t you?

keep diverting from the failure and people will soon look elsewhere…you are doing noble work keyboard warrior
Mate, don't confuse me with someone else you may or may not have an issue with and think that I am a blind club defender. In fact I would challenge you to find a post of mine in support of Hodgson since about Round 2.

I do however understand that there are lots of pieces to the puzzle of winning NRL games and I guess I am just not as quick to look for simple scapegoats as some others on here.

Nah mate, I am just looking for a straight answer to a simple question.
Maybe your predilection with challenging every post that Pou makes has you seeing similar behaviours where they dont exist.
Could this be a mirror moment... was it not you who coined the "gotcha" assumption fail?

It's easy in hindsight, but I think our plan to sign Hodgson was probably too high a risk from the start - two serious injuries, an old body...

If we were looking to take a risk/mitigate the risk after losing Mahoney, I think we should have looked elsewhere - a young hooker looking for an opportunity, perhaps.

I know Hodgson brings invaluable experience, and leadership, to the side, and we have shown a great recent history in signing players with serious injuries - but there was always going to be a lot of baggage with his signing, and I am genuinely surprised that the club viewed him as a legitimate target.

I would have thought the risk assessment should have showed the risk would be too high that he may not perform at the level we need of him.

Oh, well - he's here now. Let's get behind him.

Not at all. And I'm referring to your tanty of a few days back (not ten years back), when your disappointing post-game analysis / controversy trolling didn't cut the mustard.
If it was no good you would've been able to rebut it rather than make personal attacks. Stalking family members, mental health shaming, all that stuff. You've made clear you don't deserve any good faith engagement.

Tigers actually arent that bad. I actually feel that this is the best Tigers side since 2011 and player for player its a much better side than 2011..........massive caveat that we have no halves. We have won 6 of 14 halves this year, lost 4 of teh 7 by a converted try or less. Been on the right end of the stats sheet on all but two games.

Simply have no halves.....and no points.
Haven’t won a game, but. If you’re at the end of April winless and this is your best team since 2011, that’s pretty f**king grim.

This is pretty much it. I know way too little about Yates to suggest that he’s in the top 17, I strongly suspect he isn’t.

But Hodgson plainly isn’t capable of playing first grade footy anymore, for any more than a nominal amount of time each week. I absolutely would bring Jake into the 17 for Hodgson, because of his broader positional coverage and at least rudimentary defence. I would also have Rein in there over Hodgson. And that’s dire, because Rein hasn’t done shit for the better part of a decade.

Maybe BA had JA in mind as the backup then later on changed his mind as he thought hodgo could really do it.

BA has no plan B. When Mahoney got injured one year, he even said it. He just thought Mahoney would be alright each game.

There's no real backup for Guth (look at the #1 in NSW cup, it's like a merry go round and any man and his dog can have ago. Similarly at hooker in NSW cup.) There's no backup for NRown.

There's no backup in his game plans.

It's put your best players there and deal with it.

The man is a potato, how he's still here after a decade and still earning contract extensions is one for Ripleys.
