Well that's f**king obvious, but off the books in 24/25 doesn't preclude a payout in 23, in fact in enables it because it triggers a need to vary the contract.

So if they have money left in the cap this year ( as you state they do ) , they can pay Joffa out this year, and free up his entire contract value for 24/25

And because of the payout he can agree to our lower offer without being out of pocket. Everyone wins.

Moretti can do that job at a 2nd tier price. Also Rodwell is waiting an opportunity.

Yes we definitely bought him to plug a hole for 1 week (10mins)
Could have started Ogden and bought Rodwell onto the bench.

I remember it was round 13 ( Speaking of goldfish ) , and Joffa's 10 minutes and 10 meters was an invaluable contribution to our win.

Because we play better without him. Our bench is stronger and whilst Hands is fit we don't need him. The 'injury' is a smokescreen. He is past it and knows that this year was a waste. He has contributed sweet f**k all and will not kick on for 2024.
