Yep.Most players have weaknesses.
And that means the situation is dire!I thought waqa had some really good games on the wing last year, ran harder than Sivo ever has . Has some problems under the high ball , but I was at the semi vs Penrith and it wouldn’t matter who was under those bombs , even Gutho didn’t want to go near them. Unless we sign a decent winger that can get us on the front foot then he is our best option .

Someone said they had never seen Dunster have a big game. I pointed out that he had. And while he might never be able to get back to that level, he still has NRL experience and is only a backup. How good does a backup player need to be? There is always going to be something deficient in your backups or they would be starting somewhere else. So the choice for backup wingers is generally safe-but-low-impact (e.g. Dunster) or explosive-but-high-risk (e.g. Blake/Lumelume). That’s how backups work. The Storm have had plenty of shit backups over the years, including our own Lumelume. You take the good with the bad, but if you win the middle you should get more of the former than the latter.B
Before his knee injury, he is not the same player, therefore ur point is moot, surprising for such a quality poser such as yourself!!!

Blake definitely had some good games last year, and no surprises his two shockers were against Penrith when they won the middle and gave Cleary forever to put up floating bombs. Dylan Edwards lets those bounce on the rare occasion the opposition gets close enough for an attacking kick. Blake should’ve let them bounce too. I’m unconvinced the high risk of knocking them on and handing over possession anyway is outweighed by the risk of letting it bounce.I thought waqa had some really good games on the wing last year, ran harder than Sivo ever has . He doesn’t need to improve. He is an experienced first grader. He just needs to come in and do what he does well, and we need to limit his exposure to the things he does poorly. It normally turns to shit when the weakness is their brain. Hence waqa will never improve
Well we’re not playing Penrith.Perhaps, but I would still say is the same level of shit as what he was in the finals last season.
It’s fine to let them bounce if you have 3 or 4 players back to cover if the opponent gets the ball. Blake has ability, I remember 2020 when Panthers lost 2/3 games all year , he beat Crichton twice in 2 minutes to pretty much win us the game. He definitely has flaws but he is the best option we have at the moment.Blake definitely had some good games last year, and no surprises his two shockers were against Penrith when they won the middle and gave Cleary forever to put up floating bombs. His problem is his want and effort areas. There are many times he'll sit there after losing the ball and watch instead getting up and chase. Regarding that time he beat Chrichton, he's really on shone that 1 time. It’s fine to let them bounce if you have 3 or 4 players back to cover if the opponent gets the ball. Anyway it looks like Dunster is next man up. He is certainly the safer option.
At least we have a scapegoat if we loooooose.Someone said they had never seen Dunster have a big game. I pointed out that he had. Tahu was an origin rep , not in the same class, i hope the rumours were true that Penrith were paying part of his salary for the contract as he wasn’t worth the $600k . It would be great to pick up another rep centre but we are heavily invested in our spine and forward pack so I think at best we will sign a project player that we might get some value out of(hopefully better the lumelume). His problem is his want and effort areas. However, i remember Timana Tahu V1.0 @ Parra.... he shone and shone many a times
3 weeks if he didnt challenge and 4 weeks if we loses challenge. Still a chance he gets some suspension as they are going for a downgrade, not a "not guilty". The plan is he gets downgraded to a fine.On Sivo challenging the grading, is there a risk of him sitting out longer if he loses?
