Would Tommy Talau be worthwhile for the remainder of the season? I know he's off to Manly next year. Surely there is little use in him sticking around at the Tigpies.

In the past 5 seasons there has only been 2 points allocated to the bye.

This year is 6 points from byes which will inflate the points.

I reckon 32 might get us in.

That's 3 wins plus the last round bye.

Means sharks have to win 4 from last 6.

I had 9th as the Knights though on the ladder predictor with 12 and half wins at 31 points. Which will mean 13 wins would have got us in at 32 points.

Best has hit a purple patch of form which has coincided with Ponga moving back to 6 and getting back to his best form. Ditto with that whole left Edge (Fitzgibbon and Marzhew).

Best is young and is an obvious talent but I think his manager is just striking while the Iron is hot and trying to get as much $$ as possible before he and the Knights form inevitably turns to shit again.

I still think Penisini's general output is much better.

I thought he was enormous on the weekend in a team getting dominated.

Penisini should have played for NSW over Best, tbh.

True, I can't see us mounting the challenge we did last year in finals matches.

But I guess making the 8 meets BA's KPI and saves his job...

We will be finishing in the bottom half of the 8, so won't even get the chance for 'straight sets'.

Just one game and most probably gone.
