They might have to stop looking in the bargain bin.I think they tried to get one a few weeks back and fell short but as it stands right now no word anything for next year.

Which big name player's contract should they unilaterally terminate to create the required cap space? They might have to stop looking in the bargain bin.
What's wrong with a mutual rescission ?Which big name player's contract should they unilaterally terminate to create the required cap space?
Well our record against Souths was atrocious i think most of us were scared of playing them in the GF then Penrith. The difference between us and Souths last year was they played the Panthers the week before.
Would I have been confident of beating Souths? No.
They also gave Penrith much more of a game then we did. And without Latrell. Better side then we where if ask me.
I would go for Cotric he has slipped down the pecking order at Canberra,They might have to stop looking in the bargain bin.
If Benji and the Tigers won the comp in 2024. I would give up watching RL for ever.
i am hoping for some significant "surprise" player movements in the off-season. as in contracted players moving on and replacements coming in.

And if not for a 5 min brain explosion they go in 12-0 at HT instead of 12-all they probably make the GF.
Would we have beat them probably not the only thing would have been they would have played 4 cut-throat finals as well without a break so both teams would have gone into a GF with not much petrol left.
Don't forget no team wins the week after playing in Townsville in September.
Problem is we have Sivo untill the end of 2025. 2 more seasons and he'd be costing over 400k I'd imagine or around that figure.
Last season when he come back from his knee injury he was on fire. Not sure why he is so up.and down but I feel it's laziness.
that's the big issue isn't it, moving players on that we don't want in order to free up cap space
problem is that no one else wants them either

He's a former player with over 300 NRL games, who transitioned into coaching, and been an assistant coach for many years, and recent experience as a Head Coach. So we should just get any old coach in to replace them? Gee I hope you don’t complain about the club’s professionalism
I reckon Gus would kill to get Barlow even at full freight. Wouldnt that send a message to the playing group if Junior was tappedthat's the big issue isn't it, moving players on that we don't want in order to free up cap space

That’s fine but you specifically defence coach and nothing you’ve said or that’s been commented on anywhere else I can see suggests defence coaching is his specialty. He's a former player with over 300 NRL games, who transitioned into coaching, and been an assistant coach for many years, and recent experience as a Head Coach.
It also sounds like at Souths he has standards that others have walked past, but he won't.
I suggest he would be extremely handy for our organisation, purely on his apparent stance on standards alone.
