They’re first tier and have plenty of members. Fan numbers count when it suits that particular argument it doesn’t when others use it as an example for our team.

We are second tier and it’s all very exciting. As long as we win a few games and go mid table that’s all that counts. Thats why we have Morgan ‘soul glo’ Harper on the books.

They would have to offer up all of Inner West & waterside property in Balmain to get Bradman to leave Newcastle for Tigers.

We already have our top 17 outside backs. They are locked in:

Sivo
Simonsson
Penisini
Russell

Not the best backline, but don't forget two of those merkins only turned 21 this year. They will be better after another preseason. And the money we're saving on these four we are spending on quality forwards and spine.

I’d agree if sivo and simo play to potential. And BA’s history with improving outside backs isn’t good. Fergo was good first year then regressed. Waqa was worse here then at Penrith

Besides Gutho, Moses, Hopgood or Emu who really did earn money?? Some of the efforts from out so called senior players were shameful.

I reckon Reg had a real go but the knees in the back incident dampened his season.
Hands definitely earned what little he was on.
Penisini had some great moment but some shockers as well.
Sivo and Waqa basically stole from us.
Russell had a real go but needs time.
Superman swapped between Superman and Clark Kent way too often.
Dylbags was great when he played.
I also reckon Carty earned every penny we paid him.

After professionalism hit the game, Souths were disadvantaged right up until Crowe and Holmes a Court bought the club; merkins whose financial dealings are outside the reach of the NRL. Souths had nothing going for them other than fans and history. Even Souths Juniors wanted nothing to do with them.
