He didn’t bash anyone. Talk about weasel words. Not all violence is the same. Tipping a drink on someone is DV now. Worthy of a fine and suspension but not sacking.

That was no problem for Parra, they were quite happy with that. Parra couldnt cop Edwards running from the cops and sacked him for that eighteen months after he bashed a woman.

Parra signed Auva'a after he pleaded guilty to domestic violence, again, Parra had no problem with it.

And he didn’t reoffend. He was rehabilitated.

AFB left Parra to go play with Dragons. He was contracted to Dragons when he committed his violent act.

Gil McDougall is Mad Dog McDougall's father...He scored two tries for Wests in the defeat of Parra in its first ever SEMI-FINAL appearance. Wests won 6-0. It was 1962 - and Parra was without Ken Thornett who had returned to Leeds to complete his contract.

In fact, it took until 1960 for Parra to even be selected for MATCH OF THE DAY status - a Saturday game at SCG.. (Lost 52-0 to the great Dragons team...) Ron Boden was cc, and Paul Pyers, who was seen as great buy, had his jaw broken by Norm Provan early in the match....

I was there that day and we got smashed as you can see by the score. My father bought me a first scorer ticket and I had Raper and I think it was Wright. Raper scored the first try and very late in the game Parra received a penalty right in front. They gave the ball to Wright which made me excited. Unfortunately the ball never got off the ground. Boy that Stgeorge team were great.
