you can say he destroyed our premiership window years with jakey also....maybe we could have won a comp if we had a decent player on the bench that could bring something during games, rather than the baby giraffe

That’s very unfair on the ability of Matt Arthur who is a genuinely very good player, the issue there is the failure to sign an adequate player, Lussick has not met any metrics of being a serviceable NRL 9. Don't think anyone should jump on a players ability because of his name, go and watch him play and you may see a different player to your comments.It doesn't defy logic. It makes perfect sense. We got him because he’s a plodder, no one is getting in Matty’s way while Daddy has a say. Let’s hope that say is ended very soon.
Not sure what’s your point, he’s playing Flegg and they have just started to win some games . To be honest , dont think he’s as good as Matt, but that’s just my judgement, if he was that good he would still be at the Riff.
Cmon, Matt is a very good player and will make his way to NRL, his name has nothing to do with his ability. Your view on the coach is shared by most, dont sledge the son as he’s actually better than what’s above him , even at this age.
The problem isn't Matt or his ability. It's the fact that we have refused to get a quality long term hooker in the mean time (2 years) that may block Matt's pathway. In fact the coach sought out a backup hooker from the super league and threw him into a starting 80min role who just so happens to be his favourite player's (Gutho) brother in law.
So, do we have an efficient R&R team, the6 seem to want to sign projects continually and then hope they improve. A strong R&R has kept the Storm, Roosters etc at the pointy end of the game, ours not so much.
Yes and BA is on that R&R team. Has been since the R&R team was created. BA wanted Lussick and is a fan of Lussick. He loves plodders and thinks he can polish them. He can't.

Is it who we sign or who is charged with the responsibility to develop them?
Id guess BA wants every player signed. He may not get everyone he wants but I cant imagine a universe where players are signed against BAs wishes.
Don't forget the club signed Hodgson who in theory was a decent 9 and he should have been here this year. I can see what they were trying to do, it just has backfired spectacularly (which I also acknowledge many many people on here foresaw).
Blind Freddy can see Matt has talent, but he’s physically nowhere near ready for first grade and might never be. It’s disgraceful the decisions that have been made since Mahoney was allowed to walk out the door.
