Would you say we are balls deep in this competition?
On form, I think we can't make our mind up week to week about whether we're going to put it in properly or just continue frottage.Just the tip I’d say

Brisbane never were in a “premiership window” or a team expected to challenge for the premiership. Unlike Parra. The fact is we lose to the lower team more often than not because our choking coach of 9 years fails to get them up mentally and match ready games. Stop trying to defend 9 years of failure.I can't believe how shit Brisbane must be to be beaten by the team coming last (and not by a field goal but by 14 points).
Maybe they hasn’t clicked yet like Penrith hadn’t in 2019.It doesn't matter what merkins thought of them, in round one they already had the talent that is obvious now after 18 games.
A lot of those origin players wouldn’t have been picked if they were eligible for NSW. They got in courtesy of QLD having a smaller selection pool. It's possible but they have had good junior recruitment for a very long time (they've produced some guns, including big name players currently at other clubs). They have some quality young players who just won an Origin series. It's possible we'll look back and realise we underrated them.
Nice try.Looks like I hit a nerve!
What does the the subject of the opinion matter? Deliberate, willful ignorance can apply to any opinion…and in this case you have exhibited it in spades.

Agreed, he obviously can’t see that, and would rather be a smart ass….anything to defend the indefensible!Brisbane never were in a “premiership window” or a team expected to challenge for the premiership. Last night was great no doubt about it, even though regular shortcomings were still evident
But the fact remain that last nights son does not erase the chance we can miss the eight
And the inevitable selection of JA can now turn that change from slim (which it was at 1030 last night) to a real possibility.
The fact that BA has curated that scenario is what is worrying and frustrating Parra supporters

We would struggle whoever the backup half is. Moses' kicking game is that important to us. But if you think Will Smith has a worse kicking game than Jake Arthur you're off your head. If there are better kicking games in reserve grade than Jake Arthur's they would belong to players who can't tackle.
Welcome mate.
I like your posts mate. You seem smart and logical up to now. Lets hope you stay that way and don't join the dark side with the apologists somehow down the road.
Rage. It's where it's at.![]()
So going into last night's game Brisbane were not considered premiership material despite running 5th at the time? Ok then.Brisbane never were in a “premiership window” or a team expected to challenge for the premiership. Unlike Parra. The fact is we lose to the lower team more often than not because our choking coach of 9 years fails to get them up mentally and match ready games. Stop trying to defend 9 years of failure.
Why? It'll be a pretty big contributing factor.
The state of the competition is such that we should be able to make the 8 even with Moses missing for 4 games.
Who's fullback? I'd go a little ldft field and throw Hands in. His time has come.
And that is exactly the issue. I don’t believe JA should be anywhere near 1st’s, but I worry he is the only real option from a kicking perspective. Doesn’t make up for the other areas of his game where he has a significant amount of improvement to do, (still can’t see him playing NRL), but we rely so heavily on Moses kicking, do we have no choice?Biggest impact will be the kicking game, which is a pretty integral part of the reason we do anything, no matter who we put in. Not handy.
I'm not the biggest BA fan either and believe he should've been punted when we got the spoon. He is our coach and wish him and the team only but success. So going into last night's game Brisbane were not considered premiership material despite running 5th at the time? Ok then.
And you need to lighten up a bit. I wasnt defending 9 years of failure mate, simply having a dig at those posters on here who hang their every comment for every loss onto the coach and don't recognise the fact that lots of things go into winning a game of football. And yes, whilst the buck stops with the coach (as it should), there are also things outside of his control that can result in a loss or in the players not turning up and performing how we would expect and want.
Does that need to change? Yes.
Does it mean BA has to go? Probably.
Everyone on here knows some posters dont want BA here, we get it, we got it in round 2 FFS. The histrionics, the single-focus and the repetativeness of some posters is simply getting to be a bit over the top. And it isn't actually funny anymore but I guess it makes them feel good about themselves.
That's what I would like to seeThe problem with that Hindy is putting way to much pressure on a debutant who is still coming to terms with playing in the halves in the lower grades. Dylan is not all that experienced himself at being the big banana in the drivers seat either, so I would rather put someone like Gutho, who won't be over oared next to him to steady things and take some pressure off as well. Also it helps as you say defensively putting Gutho there as opposed to Jake or another young kid at this point.
Fullback, my choice would be Russell. I would love to see what this kid can do in his preferred spot. He deserves a shot back in the NRL too. Baily would be the other option, but I'm just slightly leaning towards Russell. I think he may have a lot more upside in the NRL long term and he is a bigger body.
We don't have to promote him to top 30, if thats what you mean? We can play any merkin now AFAIKwe've got 2 spots open in the top 30 apparently
we need a decent half for the next month or so
Promote Rankin ffs, he's a class above the other options
And would not let us down eitherwe've got 2 spots open in the top 30 apparently
we need a decent half for the next month or so
Promote Rankin ffs, he's a class above the other options
Twiz, if they promote him into the top 30 he can play right? I like it. He seems to be the sort of player that others rally aroundwe've got 2 spots open in the top 30 apparently
