Sivo was top 3 one on one from 20mtrs out. And decent under high ball.
Which is what I said.
But his defense was bog average and general hit ups soft. A lazy player who lacked effort a lot of the time.
I never said we should have kept him. But if you want Lomax to play wing BC of the tries he scored last night, then that's a waste. I would rather be hoping that he could carve in the centres like Turbo did and feed young wingers on the out or backrowers on the in.

Sure but if Lomax rucks it out well amd defends better then he is one up on Sivo
I'm happy for him to play centre or wing.

I am sure once the new coaching staff come in and make these blokes full-time footballers with some proper coaching teaching them the technical aspects of a simple catch & pass with a bit coordination it won't matter whose there.
I think your reliance on the coaching staff to turn promising kids into NRL centres in a short time is wishful thinking. That's why promising kids start on the wing in the backs in NRL and always have as they normally get burned in the centres.

Simply put, centres is more about defence than it is attack these days. If you can't read, you bleed.

If a winger f**ks up, Dylan will fix it in cover.

If Gutho goes, we won't have a lot of options. Lots of kids thrown into the deep end.

If Sivo is so great why is the club getting rid of him?? And why were there no takers in the NRL??? Everyone knows how important the wing position is in the modern game. Besides Gronkles by the looks.

Funnily I asked Cayless about Hands' best position. He tackled me on the ground, and just before he was about to headbutt me he quoted Albert Einstein saying "you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet". Good mates me and Cayless

That's not funny at all. He sounds like a thug who needs taking down a peg or two.

Damning. Absolutely damning...

Lomax has to play WING.

Simmonson & Russell don't score those tries yesterday if Lomax is passing the ball to them in the centres.

His a winger and will make a better impact on the wing then in the centres.

Ryles wants to talk about fixing up the culture well you bring a bloke who is demanding to play a certain position when its a better fit in another position is that really good a thing for Culture.

Sounds more like "I" instead of Team.

I am super happy he is coming i think we have lacked arrogance for a long time Lomax brings but i am little concerned about this insistence from him he will be playing in the centres.

He had 5 years in the centres and never made the impact he has had in the past 12 months on the wing.
You make some good points. As I have mentioned before Ryles has to convince Lomax that wing is his best position and he has achieved nothing as centre. Time will tell if Ryles or Lomax exceeds as currently he (Lomax) believes centre is where he will play.

Look at all the rep teams picked these days.

Majority of centres picked are actually fullbacks to get them into the team.

Yesterday Hammer & Turbo are both Fullbacks having to play centre for Australia.

NSW had Latrell though i believe his best position is actually centre based on his physical build and impact he can make there.

QLD had Hammer whose a FB & pensioner in Gagai whose past his use-by date

Stephen Crichton, Herbie & Bradman Best are the only specialist centres in the game right now that are rep quality.

It’s a good discussion and I also echo the cries of Lomax has to be wing. He is a GUN at wing!
It’s going to be interesting as he certainly quoted as saying he talks all the time to Ryles and “definitely will be playing centre”.
Good thing is they are even writing articles about it today saying Lomax HAS to be picked at wing for Parra so if he starts at centre the moment we struggle the calls will come to move him to wing.

I reckon Lomax plays on the wing for us for the simple reason that we don't need a centre - Penisini is obviously one centre, and our other is likely to be Simonsson.

We do need a winger to complement Sivo, though, and Lomax fits the bill.
