No journalism anywhere in the world contains the absolute truth

Last time @TheParraEels responded to my story it went to court. A jury found that story to be correct. I stand by Semi story. More to come.
It's only as much truth as you can find in one day when you work for a rag where you are expected to pump up (partial) stories on a daily basis, as clickbait to create contrvery and return visits.paul kent said:No journalism anywhere in the world contains the absolute truth. It’s as much truth as you can discover in one day and then, the next day, you try to discover more. It is why trust is compulsory. And so tough to establish in the NRL.
Why defend Kent? He published a half-baked story from destabilising "sources", that then had to be corrected when he actually bothered to seek Semi's manager's quoted opinion. In Kent's defence he was just breaking news that was reported by Channel Seven, but don't let the facts get in the way of a good witch-hunt.
More to come means he's trying to dig up some more shit over the next week or so, but I assume you are referring tot the court case.

Kent's the one who's followed up with his definition of "journalism", which is laugahble to say the least. The guys in this trade are merkins, and I still don't know how someone can sleep at night having been paid for printing untruths.
I'm inclined to think that there are elements of truth in both the DT articles and the Parramatta press release.
However, I don't think either party is being completely honest.
It was Channel 7's story so that is why I'm defending Kent. He didn't just pull it out of thin air.

He blindly reguritated it ... not any better really
And he did it without so much as a phone call to Semi's manager to make sure the rumour is true.
That's journalism 101.
I'd be more worried that his manager said this: "Radradra was always a rugby player and still harboured dreams of returning to rugby"
Why would you be worried about him leaving? That's the mindset that ensures we pay overs to retain fan favourites. How has that been going for us?
If he leaves he leaves. Plenty of other clubs have made the finals without Semi Radradra.

My question is that it was noted on the forum, stagger eel I think, who said that Semi was signed totally under the cap with NO third party agreement at all. Was a new deal negotiated? The NRL need to be involved in TPA's in my opinion as far too many agreements are being made and sponsors are not coughing up the cash when push comes to shove. It's been the main reason for a number of players, not just at Parramatta, leaving long term deals midway through them.
