Why is that gordsy? I don't particularly like him but you surely can't deny his form is good and he has the killer instinct. He's probably one of the quickest halves going around and has a good kicking game.

He beat up on a Bulldogs team that has done f**k all this year and that makes him origin ready. I think Uncle Gus is making plenty of headlines to take as much focus away from the cold facts that Ciraldo has done f**k all, despite being hailed as the second coming for the dogs.

If by some miracle we got Hunt for 900k (or whatever) would you be happy to keep Brooks if he accepted a deal that fitted him within the cap? Would they work together?

I could be wrong but I think that's what may be in play , not defending the R's Clown he might even still be dreaming about Brooks and thinks he doesn't need a replacement.

I reckon you’re right that they are worried about anti-tampering rules. It probably explains why we haven’t heard anything about them going after Pezet or Trindall. They must interested though, given the overtures to Moses, Johnson and Pearce.

For mine, this must be what the shipping around of Simpkin and Blore is about. Give the Queens another serviceable hooker and a decent middle for in exchange for Hunt.
