If you’re scoping out Super League halfbacks, the money should be thrown at Lachlan Lam. He’s been in pretty good form and his team, Leigh Leopards are defying all expectations and are coming second (plus I believe he’s actually off contract, so won’t require a ridiculous transfer fee).

He was at the Roosters before he went there. He never set the world on fire at the Roosters despite numerous chances in first grade which is why he wasn't re-signed.

The thing that is really f**king annoying is they let Brooks go (I didn’t have a problem with that) but we are now seeing we never had a plan B to replace him, which is unbelievable in professional sport, imo.

Why is it that everything I read about the Tigers reeks of unprofessional loser mentality.
I can't get excited about anything that is reported on us in the media.
How long before the next let down or dumb decision.

Looks like we’ve lost Steffano, TWT instagram reporting that he has a clause in his contract that he can leave if we haven’t made the top 8 by 2025, can’t blame him and others if they do?:(

Yes and no. The Roosters played him mainly off the bench and also in a few weird positions like hooker, fullback and centre. He has a record of 10 wins and 6 losses when starting in the halves at NRL level and was the halfback in the Roosters only semi final win since 2019.

By the way Im not saying he is the answer, but we could (and probably will) do much worse

He could also pull his finger out and play with some aggression, ask his team mate Klemmer for some feedback.
He could look at a guy who replaced him (well a forward anyway) in SOO 3, RCG and see how you take a hitup and play with aggression.

I wonder if he'd be ok with the 8 directly above us by 2025.??

How does the clause work given that it's still 2023 ?
