The only fun in the sun atm are the reports that the club is imploding.

Tim being kept out of the loop is chaos on a grand scale.

We can only pray the media has it right this time and Tim finds Hollers car parked in his spot at the white elephant when he turns up to r&r beerfest or whatever they do at this karaoke event.

Karaoke because they are all pretending to run a footy club.

Tim can a parking spot with his name and rego “ on paper stuff”

On paper, on Fox, on nine:

Available and achieves twice as many wins as Tim. Commands massive loyalty amongst his players. So much so, he had to be sacked quickly.

We’d be foolish not to hear him out.

Johnson is playing on for another year. He’s only 32 and if he’s loving his footy, he could play until he’s 38. Volkman left the Roosters after tearing up Jock Madden in the trials, with the expectation he’d get a short starting in the halves. It would be worth asking the question if he wants to be starting halfback for an NRL club next year rather than having to sit out yet another season languishing in NSW Cup

Volkman is interesting??
Jock Madden is a back-up ½ imo, he wouldn't make a huge difference over Brooks, in fact we would be going backwards, in the short term anyway.
Same goes with Blake Taaffe. A Solid replacement but that's it.
Brodie Croft has the potential to take us forward but still, I'm not overly rapt on him.
Lachlan Ilias is someone I would like.
Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer were off contract next year but I'm unsure of what their staus is. Again, I'm not confident that they are the answer.
Kyle Flanagan has talent....has he joined Manly?
Once again the Tigers let go of a good player with no replacement.

Former Broncos playmaker Brodie Croft is open to returning to the NRL after holding talks with Benji Marshall to rescue the Wests Tigers next season.

Croft celebrated his 26th birthday on Friday and incoming Tigers coach Marshall has given the halfback an NRL gift by expressing interest in the halfback wearing the Tigers No.7 jumper for 2024 and beyond.

This masthead can reveal the Tigers can secure Croft if they pay a $150,000 transfer fee to his current club Salford in the English Super League.

The embattled Tigers are on the lookout for playmaking options following Luke Brooks’ impending departure to Manly next season and Croft is one of several names on Benji’s hitlist.

The Tigers have also discussed a potential homecoming for Jock Madden, who joined the Broncos this season after failing to unseat Brooks over the past two seasons at the joint-venture club.

Croft has signed a seven-year deal with Salford until 2030, but can activate a get-out clause to return to the NRL at the end of this season.

Croft’s manager Chris Orr confirmed the rejuvenated playmaker would not rule out an Australian resurrection at the Tigers after he was sounded out last year by a number of NRL clubs.

“Brodie will seriously consider a return to the NRL moving forward,” said Orr of PSM.

“’Crofty’ had the Titans and Dragons chasing him to return late last year, but at that stage, the timing wasn’t right.

“His running game and short-kicking game has been outstanding in the Super League and I and Brodie believe his best football is in front of him.”

Croft’s NRL career appeared over after a turbulent stint under Anthony Seibold at the Broncos.

Blooded by Storm coach Craig Bellamy as a successor to Cooper Cronk, Croft played 39 games for Melbourne before shifting to the Broncos, where he played 26 matches between 2020-21.

But after struggling with the pressures of performing at underachieving glamour club the Broncos, Croft was granted an early release to start afresh in the Super League.

The playmaker has proved a sensation in England, steering Salford to the finals last season and winning the prestigious Man of Steel going - Super League’s equivalent of the NRL’s Dally M Medal.

Croft carved up for the Red Devils, scoring seven tries, posting 25 try assists and amassing 83 tackle busts and 23 line breaks to help Salford to the finals.

Marshall believes a wiser and more mature Croft can return to the NRL to provide some direction for the strife-torn Tigers as they plan for life after Brooks.

Madden is another option. The former Australian Schoolboys ace is contracted to the Broncos for another year and while the Tigers have sounded him out, Madden’s preference is to stay at Brisbane.

The Broncos are aware of interest in Madden and have kicked-off talks on an extension to keep the 23-year-old at Red Hill until the end of 2026.

Well it's somewhat acceptable on paper as a replacement for Brooks. Like our dear soon-departed, Brodie also has a wooden spoon. He has, however, played in an NRL grand final though.

We need a 7, whoever it may be next year, Benji should be able to help, with his experience?
I'd like to believe he could but....

Benji was such an instinctual off the cuff player in his prime. What he did cannot be coached. If you have a player like him the rest of the team needs to either back up, run to hole as he might need to pass it to you, or just stay out of his way.

That he became an elite game manager later in his career is a myth in my opinion. He was OK.

He would know what he was great at, but there's no one at the tigers he can pass those skills onto. Not many in the comp for that matter.

We need more than one. We need to sign at least two, probably three. Wakeham is nailing the conversions, but everything he does is in slow motion on the pitch. Sign Adam Clune as well. He's not doing anything at the Knights

The thing that is really f**king annoying is they let Brooks go (I didn’t have a problem with that) but we are now seeing we never had a plan B to replace him, which is unbelievable in professional sport, imo.
Their plan was to sign Moses…it was not a bullet proof plan.

Until we can pry Lee and Justin out of their board seats and have a benevolent dictator running the show or we turf out the whole board and start again we will be mediocre at best.
