TWT instagram are saying that the eels are looking at Jake Simpkin?
The Eels are relying on Hand to fill injured Hodgson's spot. Hand is a good player is will most likely take over as their number one hooker next year which means Jake would most likely play reserve grade if he were to go to the slimies.
I think Da Silva will most likely be our run on hooker next year so Jake's manager probably put the feelers out....is that how your reading it TM?

Jake and Blore have been shopped to other clubs earlier this season. Makes sense that the Eels would be interested in a hooker. Surprised the Queens aren’t interested given Hunt looks to be leaving

I think Simpkin can see the writing on the wall, we are trialling Da Silva as the next best thing, though not sure he will be ready when API goes?

LAURIE SET FOR PANTHERS REUNION?

If true, I think this is where his heart has always been, so not expecting him to stay.
I thought Laurie played alright at ⅝ in his little cameo performance. People said he would leak tries however he didn't miss a tackle and put some big men on the ground, he's got some ticker alright.
He also got terrible service from Wakeham which made Daine look bad. .
He is a better running ⅝ than what we currently have imo.
If we recruit some decent halves then Daine would stay in KOE so I can understand him wanting out.
Have we officially told him he's not wanted???

Gus and Wayne are striking while the club is weak. First the club axes Madge, then they axe Wazza who started the work to get the Fainus by signing Sione.

I wonder if Da Silva has played half. He's quick enough and apparently has a good grubber in his repertoire (thank god for spell checker)
He would have to be a reasonable defender too playing at 9.
I just thought of it whilst reading that Api is helping out in the halves.
I'm not suggesting Da Silva is the answer but I am curious as to whether he could play in the halves to cover an injury.

Could be a good development.

Yeah, spell checker is graet, but I don’t always use it, hahaha

The facts are Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold is managed by Isaac Moses. Moses also negotiated the deals for Seibold’s assistant coaches Shane Flanagan and Jim Dymock to land on the northern beaches.

Moses also did the deal for Manly’s new head of recruitment Peter Gentle – one of rugby league’s genuine good guys.

When Seibold initially signed at the Manly in November last year, the Sea Eagles only had one Moses client on their books in Ethan Bullemor.

Yet in the nine months since out of the eight players the Sea Eagles have signed – six have been Moses clients.

Aaron Woods, Matt Lodge, Ben Condon, Cooper Johns, Luke Brooks and Tommy Talau have all joined or are set to join Manly since Seibold’s arrival.

——————-

Nothing to do with us, but if it’s true then f**k, the NRL need to maybe look at what is happening with these sports management people, for possible rorts.

Wasn‘t it Manly’s P Peters bleating on about Benji being a partner in a management group only the other day, but not saying a word about this shit?

Player managers have told the Tigers to get quality assistant coaches and we will let our players sign with you otherwise they won't and players there will leave.
Massive pressure is on. We will find it just as hard if not harder to attract quality coaching staff to this shambles.
It may be necessary to pay the assistant coach more than the Head coach.

Justin Holbrook has reportedly firmed as the club’s priority target to bolster their coaching ranks after he was sacked by the Titans.

FYI @The Silverdale Phantom :)
“Benji’s skill is in identifying strengths and weaknesses in the club especially in our playing roster and addressing those challenges,” Tigers boss Lee Hagipantelis said to News Corp.

“His football IQ continues to impress and he has exceeded all our expectations in terms of his development as a future head coach.

Lol, Benji has been next to useless and everyone knows it.

Tim remains firmly on the outer, Lee might be softening us up for the expected Benji and Justin show next year.

I’d reverse the measures, deploy Hollers to repair the damage and start winding Benji down.

Create a new position for him if we don’t want to shame him.

Otherwise, I’m on board with the Brookxit and what we did to him. He’s stupid for spitting the dummy over a few extra bucks and a couple of days. He will regret that in retirement which is looming.
