No decent coach in their right mind should go to that cest pool. How would it feel to try and coach a bad team with Gus micro managing things then potentially throwing you under bus when things don't go well

I assume that Flanagan will end up coaching there. His son is already at the club so I can’t imagine it would be that hard to entice him and there aren’t many other successful coaches out there.

But my neighbour just said the same thing, it probably wouldn’t end well whilst Gus is there.

Ivan Cleary is all the proof you need that Gus can get it spectacularly wrong. Not convinced Baz is the problem there either. Pretty bad given several players signed to play under him. He needed time. They may have made another huge error.

Bulldogs are going to need to balance their roster a bit better to be any sort of threat in the future- they have too many players on big dollars that aren't in the spine. Mahoney joining in 2023 will help, but (even considering Burton if he hangs around), the rest of their spine is rubbish.

problem is Gus will likely get alot of the credit for any success and hold no blame for any failure.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the players are at each other. There's such a difference in effort levels amongst some individuals.

AOB is the main man to bring them all together and he appears to be struggling with that. We don't back up the Bulldogs win with a real good crack at the Broncos then we just take 2 steps back again and he might be next after Barrett.

AOB cannot afford another poor home game performance by the team.

Poor use of the bench is my only AOB gripe tonight. Croker should have been injected when the forwards were dominating in the first 30 minutes. Crossland playing way too many minutes and Randall only coming back on once the match was out of reach.

It’s like he devises a plan pregame and has no ability to adapt during the game.
