But it was done prior to Sharp coming in. Much like Ainsley at Titans.
The revolving door of Coaches and CEOs hurt us. Hopefully stability now will get us back in order.
Not true, absolutely all the mentioned decisions were made under Sharp. The players listed were punted by Sturat with Sharp's blessing, he was justifying it in all the papers at the time.
http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/p...21-gh6dim.htmlThe Eels, under new management following the election of a board led by premiership winner Steve Sharp in 2013, told the NRL of their salary cap concerns for 2014 that year and disclosed a number of breaches in a pre-season statutory declaration. However, their failure to then heed the warnings and the advice from League Central has seen them hit hard by penalties.
The club's second-tier issues last year centre on payments that continued to be made to players after they had left the club, a predicament that came to light last July.
Fairfax Media reported then that the Eels were shelling out more than $750,000 to players who had departed the club, which impacted both their top-tier and second-tier salary caps.
They included Reni Maitua (Canterbury), Jacob Loko (Canterbury) Daniel Harrison (Manly), Jordan Latham (Manly), Cheyse Blair (Manly), Jake Mullaney (Salford), Matt Ryan (Wakefield Trinity) and Brayden Wiliame (Manly)..
