Someone can actually want Steve Sharp to resign thinking it is the best for the club though.
Not sure what is wrong with that.
It's just their opinion.

Wow, so Sharp = Jesus. He's obviously perfect. Has not mismanaged the club at all? It's everyone else's fault as per usual.

Deflection time at its best ladies and gents. Blame the rest of the world.

Ah, Einstein speaks...!

My opinion about the (obvious) agenda behind Jake's (broken record) posts seeking Sharp's resignation is exactly that too... an opinion, that disagrees with his opinion.

Not sure what's wrong with that either - that's what an internet forum is all about, no?

Breen: It shouldn't be that hard though should it? Keep under the cap, put a team on the field, and provide home fans with some hope.
Boulos: *laughs* absolutely, it shouldn't be that hard, but unfortunately we are weighted down by some issues of the past and we need to get through them and when we get through them, I'm very confident that as a club what we've got in place will come out of the other side very positively.

I'm glad Boulos finds it funny.

it's the same shit over and over again. And I quote.... "we are weighted down by some issues of the past and we need to get through them and when we get through them" blah blah blah

Again it's the same line as usual "issues of the PAST" it's the same line trotted out for the last 4 years. How can there be issues from the past when Sharp told us that our Salary cap was all sweet for 2015, 2016??? They are f**king new issues. What an absolute load of crap.

This management refuses to take ownership, they keep blaming the past.

They just need to resign.

You are very welcome to your opinion as well.
Just saying.
But Jakes opinion is an agenda, and yours isn't?
Ok then.

How long have you had this opinion?

So you've finally admitted your agenda, and dispensed with the fluff about you wanting the best for the club etc. ;-)

Dude you totally got me. You are too smart. You have just figured out that I want Sharp To resign? clap.................. clap................clap................... Obviously you're not a brain surgeon. please bring back Bart he seemed a little faster than you. actually he was just a tad faster than a genius that is.

Sounds a little like the principles of central registration for cricket australia contracts? Though I haven't kept pace with how they now work.

Has promise. The NRL/broadcast deal funds the club grants to cover the basic cap structure, the TPA deals can be the things that help players brindge the gaps between the set levels of salary (e.g. if a player is approaching top 5 in the club, but not quite there yet).

The third part might need a bit of work... a club would be penalised (financially, taxed) for a superstar's ability and willingness to attract corporate deals to supplement their (already high) salary. Perhaps this bit could be restricted to attracting/retaining "marquee" players, be registered through the NRL and the NRL "rebalance" dollar for dollar for equity among clubs whose geogrpahical location and/or quality of marquee player puts them at a(n effective) salary cap/TPA disadvantage?

You know you can blame the past and still be referring to yourself?

In the past they f**ked up but they still have to deal with it. The past doesn't have to be someone else.

Just a thought.

Sorry mate I don't accept that. They've only ever blamed everyone else.

I agree with jake i reckon they are blaming the previous bunch of uselessmerkins.

Just like those merkins blamed the previous merkins before them.

And if Fitzy hadnt been in power for 6 million years he probqbly would have blamed the merkins before him

How are they new issues? This is clearly about 2014.

I'm not defending their actions, they are completely useless but I was just pointing out that just cause someone says the past it doesn't mean they're blaming someone else.

Is anyone slightly concerned our season will be ruined by this? I am!!

Gould made a good point. How the NRL try and sell the idea that every club has equal money with the salary cap. And how TPA should be made public so fans can see what each clubs gets to spend on their roster.
