No, I've been reliably informed we are not a basket case :lol:
And the hits keep on coming, what a joke of a rabble we are.
Good to know, did Joel tell you he knows people???No, I've been reliably informed we are not a basket case
If this results in Kelly being punted to Wenty then I'd say it's all been worth it.
Haha, why is it that all these people who reckon they're "in the know" never seem to know about any of this sort of crap till it's splashed all over the news. :lol:Good to know, did Joel tell you he knows people???
If you watch the presser, Dave Smith said that the club has had minor breaches of the cap 5 years in a row. The 2014 season was the straw that broke the camels back.
He said it's not about cheating, it's about the practices at the club since 2009.
He went to say that they have been working with Sharpie since he has been in charge to overcome this and he is confident that the future is sound.

Bringing Kelly in with the knowledge of 2nd tier issues is a bizarre decision by Arthur. Compound that with his poor form at Wenty and lack of goal kicker and I am truly concerned with Arthur at the helm.
It's certainly an interesting choice to allegedly use up the last of our 2nd-tier cap on him.Bringing Kelly in with the knowledge of 2nd tier issues is a bizarre decision by Arthur. Compound that with his poor form at Wenty and lack of goal kicker and I am truly concerned with Arthur at the helm.
The other question that needs to be asked is who ignored the NRL warnings last year?So according to the NRL statement the club was warned last season that it was going to breach the caps on more than one occasion and the club ignored the notice. Hence why they were given a larger fine.
The question has to be asked, if we had won one more game, would the NRL have seriously allowed a team to play in the NRL Final Series, knowing at the time and before the Finals commenced that it had breached the Salary Cap rules?
What would have happened if we'd made it to the GF and won it?
Surely the NRL would've looked pretty foolish letting a team in the Final Series and possibly winning the competition, knowing prior to the Final Series that the team had already breached the Salary Cap rules.

From the little I know, the cap was in. Mega mess from deals done prior to the current admin, players were released and promised ongoing payments, until Seward was appointed there was a rumour that the 2 previous coaches gave cap admin to an office girl. They only were concerned with the next season, and players( like Lomo) were therefore on massive back ended deals to ensure the near term was OK
Sounds a bit like Des at the Beagles
. I think the current admin have tried to make us aware that there were issues that needed time to resolve. Doubt we need to go off like headless chooks, this was in s sense what was predicted
Well I'm guessing the Chairman, CEO, Head Coach and Pool Booker all new and collectively ignored it, so I wouldn't single anyone out to blame.

So according to the NRL statement the club was warned last season that it was going to breach the caps on more than one occasion and the club ignored the warnings and broke the rules anyway. Hence why they were given a larger fine.

Have you actually watched the NRL presser ?
who said they were ignored last year?
