Sure, it might not be the greatest way to spend club funds. But if they are paying $65k per year for the carpets to be cleaned instead of sourcing a $45k per year quote, then isn't it just along the same lines?

I'm lost with this story as to how it is any kind of story. So we gave TPA sponsors some food and grog? Who doesn't? The club IS allowed to tee up a set number of TPAs. Wouldn't they be keen to reward the people paying big dosh to the players with some kind of function? As long as they don't give them money to give the players it is legit.

From the little I have read, it seems mainly about game functions being made available from time to time for people associated with TPAs. Beavis said he doesn't know anything about it, the story appears to revolve around the cost which could be as much as $300 per game

What you say is true, but the question is did we owe that money to Hayne whilst he was at Parra? Because it makes no sense paying someone when he's not delivering a service. If we owed him money for services already performed then it should come under the cap.

I agree any new deals between Parra an Hayne would not be of anyone's business.
