FMD you're hard work. They are unsubstantiated claims by a newspaper renowned for doing this.

You're either stupid or get a kick out of the fuss.

It makes sense to me to wait for outcomes from the NRL, if any.

You will no doubt continue all morning running around like a chook without a head.

lol I'm very hard work!!

It's just nice that the plumber has put on the front page of the paper again. What an idiot!

Why wouldn't they have incorporated the Watmough/Hayne investigation, which was known months ago, into the whole salary cap investigation?

Wasn't it already common knowledge that we paid Hayne in our second tier last year?

Sure but if you take the fact we paid Hayne some money out of the Telegraph story, there is no story. Need to have either Hayne's name or some $$ amounts in it or it doesn't sell.

It's a bit rich to say in big black letters that the club "oversaw culture of salary cap rule breaches".

Eels’ culture of salary cap breaches: THE Parramatta Eels board and senior executives have overseen a culture ... http://bit.ly/21VFK4Y
Storm and Bulldogs had a "culture" of breaches.

We f**ked up our 2nd tier and maybe didn't handle TPA's all that great. Not saying that we are not at fault, but geeze talk about chalk and cheese.

Lets keep it in the story for a moment. Why does it affect our salary cap situation at all?

Sure, it might not be the greatest way to spend club funds. But if they are paying $65k per year for the carpets to be cleaned instead of sourcing a $45k per year quote, then isn't it just along the same lines?

I'm lost with this story as to how it is any kind of story. So we gave TPA sponsors some food and grog? Who doesn't? The club IS allowed to tee up a set number of TPAs. Wouldn't they be keen to reward the people paying big dosh to the players with some kind of function? As long as they don't give them money to give the players it is legit.

I've got an idea...

how about we f**k this board off and get people who are not aligned with any of the 3 major factions that have ruined this club in the last decade...

just a thought..

what are the chances of that happening and how long would it take ?

sounds like one step forward and 2 steps backwards, at least now we have the devil we know

imagine if we had a complete new board and it was worse

is it worth the gamble ?

I bet Prozcenko is kicking himself that he didn't get in on this.

Further, the fact that this was leaked to Fairfax may mean we have more than one leak.

From the little I have read, it seems mainly about game functions being made available from time to time for people associated with TPAs. Beavis said he doesn't know anything about it, the story appears to revolve around the cost which could be as much as $300 per game :)

Click bait extraordinaire, the Emperors mate had a hissy fit this morning, which I didn't hear , as as soon as he started I switched the staton off, he never mentions other clubs issues as its all about his mate

Speaking to someone named in the article ( not Sharp ) , he said all issues were resolved and Schubert had gone through everything past and present to ensure a clean slate and the NRL compliance was total

Seems like previous board members just won't give up, agree with Gronk. They need a one way ticket to Kabul as a start

so what does giving hayne money have to do with the nrl. he is no longer contracted to the game and therefore has no bearing on the cap. The eels could give him 1million for all I care for some appearance fee and raising the eels flag at a game.

What you say is true, but the question is did we owe that money to Hayne whilst he was at Parra? Because it makes no sense paying someone when he's not delivering a service. If we owed him money for services already performed then it should come under the cap.

I agree any new deals between Parra an Hayne would not be of anyone's business.

Quoted for truth.

Denis, Spags, 3P and all of their cronies need to  for once and for all.

Accepting the NRL's plan for some independent directors and revised election structures might just do the trick...

But then, who would Jake attack? :sarcasm:

I also completely agree.
The people behind this "new revelation" should be ashamed of themselves.

why was Politis giving him a car to use when he came back for visits?
