If the alleged allegations we're hearing in the media are true, my goodness, truly hopeless. I have no affiliation or loyalty to any faction. Like most on here I am simply sick of the constant crap we are dished up by the a totally incompetent management team at Parramatta. It just goes on and on. And it looks like it will get a lot worse before it gets any better.

From my point of view as an average Eels supporter I have to say I am dismayed at the latest saga and all that goes with it. I bet there are a bunch of similar minded Eels supporters who would agree with me that we have all had enough of seeing our proud club being continually dragged through the mud from one crisis to the next. We've become the Kardashians of the NRL. I also figure it's no co-incidence that this gets maximum attention one week into the new season. If they keep this up without someone fixing it once and for all then I , as an average Eels supporter will find other avenues in sport to spend my hard earned on.

It's not so much this latest saga, but the succession of sagas that plague our club.
For 45 years I've followed Parramatta. I will forever follow them.
But to be honest, the game of rugby league has become predictable and boring. It has lost its innocence. It was better when the powers that be let it be what it is.
Yet, year after year, the rules change, to try and make the product more exciting and watchable, yet year after year, coaches screw the rules and bend and warp the interpretations.
And year after year, the NRL or international body change the rules to counteract this.
The media speculation , power and penetration is ridiculous.

Like I said, it's not the sport it used to be. It has become an uncontrollable machine dictated to by media moguls and fan discontent, and the reactionary whims of its governing body.

It's a shame really, because the game I grew up with in the 70's and 80's was innocent, exciting, original and developing. It is now just a media driven machine, and it has become robotic.
I used to watch as much NRL as I could on tele. Now, I'll switch over to check the score. Nothing more. Except for Parra games.

I think Suity hit the nail on the head, none of us care about rugby league like we do the Eels

The frustration that ticks me off the most is that all crap started when the emperor was ousted, and the next person was incompetent , the behind the scene battles started and they appear to have continued their war , with the club secondary

The club has a coach, roster, and membership to be really successful. The current board set up the new training facilities and got rid of Seaward etc, and still the battle rages behind them

Is it a coincidence that the emperors friend continues to rant and rave and Prozenko and others barrage the club with innuendo. Hard not to add 1+ 1 and come up with a half decent answer

Their belief in right to rule transcends the club unfortunately, I don't think that they want the club to succeed without them. Really sad

Suity

My sentiments exactly. The game itself has become too predictable, especially for those of us who have been through many of it's phases. But, this is about the issues with head office and it's continuing ability to get news coverage for all the wrong reasons. Hell, we get more media attention than any other club and we always have for the most part. I would love to see that as acceptable to successful coverage, not about back stabbings, self interests and back room deals. When the Storm were caught out for their 2009 salary cap issues we sat back and thought the worst about them. Seems we like swimming in the same pool, and that is a murky pool to swim in.

Totally agree Suity. You had me with the first 206 words.

Actually i only half agree. I kind of like the game still. It evolves and changes. I roll with it. Main bugbear is the wrestle crap, but fast play the ball touch footy is kind of boring too.

That could equally describe the A-League - particularly the fan discontent and reactionary whims of its governing body ;-)

Just ignore it people, and enjoy the game - we've got a decent squad this year for the first time in... 30 years? Get behind the team, and stop obsessing about elections and boards. We shouldn't all get sucked in by media drama and throw in our Eels season tickets like Suity.

I missed the 7 news report. Have the NRL officially reopened another salary cap investigation into us rorting the cap?

Interesting we haven't heard anything from the club yet. I do not expect them to release a statement EVERYTIME there is some shitty article or story out about us, but i thought they would have got on the front foot by now.

How did they get the bank deposit transaction evidence? Only Hayne or the person depositing the amount to Hayne could give it to them.......or they obtained them illegally and that is a criminal act.

Don't hold your breath. They still haven't told the members about the governance changes that the NRL enforced.

If it was from the club then a number of people would have access to it. If it was from someone's individual account then yes, it shouldn't be hard to find out who leaked it.
