Well they don't really have to prove anything do they ?

They just say the Telecrap understands, or sources close to the club can reveal............

The fifth estate are a law unto themselves

Nothing the Telegraph report can actually do anything to the club.

Apart from sway public opinion, any articles they write aren't evidence, and doesn't prove anything.

The fact that anyone takes gossip and rumor articles as gospel is laughable.

One other thing, someone must know, what type of company is the Eels? they aren't publicly traded, they aren't privately owned (as such) so what are they? Are the Eels board minutes public record? I can't imagine that they are, and if they aren't, isn't having them (i.e. as the telegraphs claims to) illegal as they are private company documents?

Talking to a few people , this is what it is about

The whole thing is not about the board in general, it is simply personal against Sharp and Issa, and if the club suffers to achieve their end so be it

Sharp advised the emperor he would not take directions from
Him after being elected, even though he had his support for the election

Spags blames Sharp for lack of support and the action to stand him down

Seward , see Spags

Jason Irvine (ex NRL footy manager) who was relieved of duties by DA, also doesn't forgive Sharp for not supporting him

Issa seen as power broker behind Sharp

Shepherd still believes his friendship with DF led to his removal, blamed Sharp and Issa

Feeling is that despite all the good work done by Sharp and his love for taking the club forward, the hatred for him may lead to his having to stand down , Which would be sad and a victory for the haters

Looking at what the Telecrap continues on with, hardly a smoking gun, but it's the ultimate click bait .

Comments now from Jake and Hiney, great trio with Raaaaay :)

Meanwhile they love the club so much, as they drag it through the mud ...

I think we all agree that Sharp and the current board have possibly stuffed up.

However, where we the fans possibly disagree, is on 2 points.

1) Apparently, nearly every successful club does similar especially in regards to TPA's. However those clubs don't have leaks like our club.

2) Whoever comes in is still going to undermined by Spags, Fitzy etc. and then Hadley and the other muppets in the media.

What we have to do first and foremost is plug the leaks.

However it may be too late for Sharp and this board.

Wow, so Sharp = Jesus. He's obviously perfect. Has not mismanaged the club at all? It's everyone else's fault as per usual.

Deflection time at its best ladies and gents. Blame the rest of the world.

Sharp and co had lots of support from a lot of people. When they were elected, Sharp turned his back on most of them.

This is what I have been told, not sure if it's gospel or not.

If true, not a good move by Sharp.

Jake the ****wit must be in constant arousel with all the telecrap articles. He loves the fact that they put shiite on the club no matter how much he says he doesnt. As for that rag I wouldnt wipe my butt with it. They are just trying to keep the pressure on and keep people buying that crap. Nothing they report has to be factual and if the NRL come away with no evidence they will get away with all the damage they have done. The board may have stuffed up and they mite not be capable of running a chook raffle but you can bet that no board etc will succeed in this toxic place. Dont know what the answer is either its really depressing to think that this crap will constantly keep coming up while ever these maggotts are still around our club

Gee, how did you read that Sharp hasn't done anything wrong from that
Just pointing out who the enemies of the club could be, if someone has to stand down then so be it
You seem so perfect and blameless , have a dig yourself but its a poisoned chalice
BigFella and you just read and interpret to suit your own argument
There are a number of people who are happy to bring the club down from what I have been told
Believe what you like, wasn't deflecting anything as we all have opinions but until these numpties leave the club alone , we will have a revolving door of Presidents/ board members etc

lol how am I loving this situation? I just want The Plumber to resign. He promised good governance and other stuff. Have we received this? ahhhhh no. All we've received is bad governance and other stuff.

This will be read and I guess any response will depend if you are Power Ranger or a Nark :)

Just on 9 News with Neil Breen:

Breen: John, in 2014 was the Parramatta hierarchy guaranteeing 3rd party payments to players?
Boulos: No certainly not, and you see the full minutes from 2014, we sent the full minutes when we were notified of the story, to the NRL, and we'll continue to work with them on that, certainly the extracts that appear don't create the intent of the discussion, the intent of the discussion was to do things by the books, and as a club we need to continue doing things by the books.

Breen: Why were those players (former players like Hayne) paid once their careers had ended at Parra?
Boulos: We're investigating that atm, those payments were unknown to us.

* on subject of corporate hospitality tickets*
Boulos: we reserved corporate hospitality tickets for our commercial partners and anyone we were trying to fo business with.

Breen: Did that include 3rd Party providers?
Boulos: Yeah, no, its not uncommon to that we look to try and work with all prospective partners, we have many partners that request additional tickets. Now for Round 1, and throughout the year we sell out hospitality a lot, if we don't keep an allocation there to induce new business, we're certainly not working in the best interests of growing our business.

Breen: Will Parramatta lose points?
Boulos: I can't committ, we are working with the NRL, that's all I can advise. We know there are issues to do with governance over many years, and thats caused through instability, we understand that's been an issue for many years at the Parramatta Eels. What we've comitted to is reform.

Breen: Does Steve Sharp need to resign?
Boulos: Steve Sharp & the board are leading this change, and therefore should have the responsibility to see this out and we're confident that we can (Breen interrupts)

Breen: It shouldn't be that hard though should it? Keep under the cap, put a team on the field, and provide home fans with some hope.
Boulos: *laughs* absolutely, it shouldn't be that hard, but unfortunately we are weighted down by some issues of the past and we need to get through them and when we get through them, I'm very confident that as a club what we've got in place will come out of the other side very positively.

End
