Anyone catch the eye gouge Sam Burgess did to Maloney last night vs the Roosters? Pretty obvious to see but again the NRL is controlled by the media so wont be expecting any form of punishment.

Funny. They're all class Souffs. Their fans turn up to last night's game with a giant banner which says

"SCUM FOREVER IN OUR SHADOW"

Really classy stuff. Not quite sure what it means but its really classy, no doubt about that.

Then their star pommy import, just a couple of weeks after being caught squeezing the nutsack of an opponent, gets caught on national TV DIGGING HIS FINGERS INTO THE EYEBALLS OF AN OPPONENT. What was he thinking? Did he think the 27 cameras wouldn't pick it up? Whatever he was thinking, its really classy behaviour, no doubt.

The NRL will have no choice but to suspend him for the remainder of this season, and quite a bit of next. So Souffs fans can look forward to another 42 years of failure. At least.

Stay classy SOUFFS.

So just to clarify, the eye gouge happens right on half time. What the youtube clip doesn't show is that after the gouge when Maloney looks at Burgess as if to say WTF, Burgess gives him a great big grin. Which confirms that not only was the gouge deliberate, but tough guy Sam thinks its really funny.

Burgess also rakes at the face of Dylan Napa in a tackle in the 66th minute, along with the kneeing and head slam of JWH while he is held by other players towards the end.

Les Boyd was given a 15 month suspension for eye gouging back in the 80s when they were trying to rub the grubs out of the game. 15 months sounds about right for Sam.

I admit the testicle grabbing was grubby but from the events Friday night... The knee was a brush, hardly touched him the hand to the face on JWH was a love tap, its not like he full on punched him whilst he was on the floor and if he really did gauge maloney's eye don't you think Maloney would have blown up or made a complaint there and then to the officials?

The knee was a brush because he didnt get it right. There was intent to knee but he was trying to do it on the sly. He's bloody lucky it didnt connect otherwise he'd be gone for the season. The facial was a grub move but nothing to be concerned over.

I was disappointed with the nut pinch but this one was not an eye gouge sorry. Players always pat other players on the head or push the head sidewards after errors. It looks like he went to palm his head sideways and the finger was over the eye. Did Maloney grab his eye in pain? No. How can we determine the finger touched the eye? It didn't.

As for the kick it looked like a niggle and with no force behind it. Kind of like when Maloney kicked in the scrum at the beginning of the year. While Sam was grubby for the scrotum thing these were niggles and I don't believe this is suspension worthy.

Does anyone think ANY footy player in the entire comp would do that in a break in a play when the whole world can see.

He gave him a smack on the bum as he walked away, he clearly was not trying to gouge him. This is literally the dumbest stuff I have ever heard.
