Embarrassing attempt at a tackle on Barba. Apart from that, his game was fine.

The hate he gets on here is pathetic

He juggled and dropped a ball when through the line in the second half as well. His kick returns are getting worse by the week.

The hate he cops is because of the contract and hype he had coming to the league. Hes been bitterly disappointing in both regards.

Worth 1 mill?

Probably not but his a decent Fullback, think I heard somewhere he gets his hands on the ball the most out of any fullback in the comp so the effort is definitely there.

Over 80 minutes, he had a fine game, with some nice touches.

Do I want better? Absolutely.

Is he as bad as the circle-jerkers on this thread make him out to be? Absolutely not

Getting better and better in his passing and link up with Johnson. His salary and passport make him an easy target on here but reality is he is in top 5 fullbacks in NRL and majority of clubs would love him in their team.

Best get used to over paid players, salary cap is ever increasing and soon even avg players will be on $500k a year.

The hate is ott. But on the other hand?

Some of the criticism he's getting from people who have actually seen him play is warranted. His form since his injury last year is well down on what it has been. And I don't buy that he's struggling because the NRL is a better standard than what he's used to: his mistakes have had nothing to do with that, they're just things he used to be good at - he's a worse player atm than he has been, no question. Jesus, this guy looked comfortable defending in the line in his debut season against Australia, and now his technique is awful.

Learn to introduce him into the attack, wait for his speed to return from injury, get him to remember some of the tackling technique he used to have and he will be one of the best fullback/halves in the league within the next year or two.

In England he had fun, didn't have to prove anything which meant everything fell into place. Tougher arena, expectations greater and trying too hard has him a timing belt one tooth out. Nevertheless, he's a whole lot better than Barba and he looks like he's doing his utmost

Its just like if a top A-League player went to the English Premier League they may be one of the stars in the A-League but would only be another player in England , no longer a star of the game.

that's no where NEAR an accurate comparison. The A-League is eons below the EPL. Hell, a combined A-League side got thrashed like 5-1 by Man U. Do you think a combined Super League side would get beated 30-6 by the Bulldogs or South Sydney over in England?? I sure as hell dont.

Meh. Outplayed by Barba last night who is struggling himself. Haters gonna hate is the way things go but has he lived up to the hype? So far no.

He is no where near Slater, Hayne, Inglis, Stewart and Dugan.

Maybe he is trying too hard but he gets dominated every tackle seemingly.

Are we talking team at round 26 form or off season WCC form ? Cause if you sent an NRL semi finals type form team to play a ESL mixed team then the NRL team would wipe the floor with the superleague team I reckon .
