I agree with the NZ "Corrspondent" on NRL.com, Sam Tomkins showed enough to suggest he will be a quality "accusation" for the Warriors going forward.

Had some embarrassing errors in cleaning up bombs & kicks in goal throughout the year (not to mention falling over ALL THE TIME), but his general playmaking and passing to create breaks and tries were more than enough for me to get him a positive rating overall.

With stable coaching regime and now a full years experience of NRL style (across all aspects, from play structures, to opposition tactics & ref decisions/non-decisions) under his belt, I expect him to have a very impressive year in 2015.

Agree with this. Positive rating but not outstanding. Have really tried to like him since I do support ESL players coming over, but there are some pretty glaring errors in his game that he needs to improve. That said, brilliant with ball in hand for the Warriors attack. I expect the other areas of his game will improve vastly under another pre-season

It's ok Soc, I don't think the NRL players pays much attention to a small minority of needy fans who are desperate to have Moylan acknowledged. He'll be fine.

I'm sure the Panthers in general can expect a bit more scrutiny next year as a whole after the year they've had.

It's not about Moylan, fool. It is about how your superstar fullback is performing no better than a rookie. Compare him to Michael Morgan if you prefer.

Nah, Moylan is better

Faster than Moylan but with less skill I think is the best comparison so far.

Last couple of weeks he has impressed me, before that he was f**king hopeless.

I still wouldn't swap him for Moylan.

He's a Matt Moylan quality fullback being paid Greg Inglis money.

Not a bad player. But not worth near what he is earning.

Moylan has been better then Tomkins for probably a quarter of what Tomkins is costing you.

Just responding to the above comment which I find stupid. Moylan has been better for what is likely more than half a million less then what Tomkins is on, he is younger too why wouldnt you swap? the hope the pommy will suddenly become a superstar?. If it is being said a lot its probably cause its true.

Tomkins sucks! Moylan rules!

He's going alright, wouldnt say "very good footy". Not on that moylan level yet.

Moylan shits on Flopkins in ever facet of the game. Moylan true greatness will show when he gets moved to 5/8 where Flopkins should be playing. He will be better then him playing in the halves as well.

He's no Matty Moylan that's for sure

In terms of value for money, Tomkins has to be one of the worst fullbacks in the NRL. Moylan has outperformed him all season and is on probably a third of the wage.

It's not about Moylan, fool. It is about how your superstar fullback is performing no better than a rookie. Compare him to Michael Morgan if you prefer.

Yeah, not about Moylan at all, and that's just this thread. Don't even start on the game threads where you guys just kept on repeating the same shit.

The only comparisons I care to make are with our previous or possible future fullback options, perhaps you should do the same instead of being so desperate for the whole forum to acknowledge your player - fool.

Cows win. Storm win.
Destroying the Eels

We had our moments this year
the ingredients are there but it's just not coming together.

Remove the Eels game, and I agree... certainly we also had the odd 10 min spell that was quite impressive...

Tomkins is a very good player. He has a few errors in him and he isnt at the top echoleon of fullbacks, but he is an upgrade on Locke.

No idea why there is 54 pages about that. Who cares what hes on. Warriors were miles under the cap, so they spent it.

Had to laugh hearing Joey and Fred saying how much of an impact Tomkins had on the NRL this year and how physical he was for a small bloke...the CH9 commentators think there's about 123 future immortals running around.

Was quite bizarre, Tomkins and Johnson played superbly at the Nines (especially at the first day)
Then they couldn't seem to sync together. I dont think dropping Townsend towards the end of the season helped at all.
Then both players (Johnson and Tomkins) had great 4N campaigns.
I'll be happy to chalk it up to Tomkins first NRL season, give them a decent pre-season together. With Konnie, Manu, Fusitua, Laumape in the backs and the likes of Matulino, Lillyman, Mannering and Hoffman in the forwards, theres certainly the talent there for the Warriors to play well. As too often, all depends which Warriors side decides to show up to the game.....
