So what if he didn't have the ball..do you understand the part that if he is in the defensive line it creates a hole that causes you to more likely concede points. There is no reason for decoys and maybe this will serve as a reminder for all teams, by all means have decoys but they should not under any circumstance go near the defensive line.

Your stupidity is nothing short of unbelievable

IMO

Did it deserved to be put before the judiciary - Yes
Should we all move on now that he hasn't - Yes
Does the roosters fans attempting to defend him, even though he has no been advised he has no case to answer speak volumes about his tackle - Yes.

Can we talk about this weeks games - Please

Sa - I cant believe anyone would be trying to get him suspended for what happened. Clearly an accident.

Ennis, a dog act right up there with Brown on Wing earlier in the year. Still probably not something you should give time for.

Anyone saying Sa should be suspended for a head clash needs their own head checked I think. The only farce is the people that think it was a dog act.

Tackled off the ball? Yes.

Penalty? Should have been. (how many bad calls and double standards have there been all year? Whats new?)

Judiciary? No way - what is he suspended for?

Accident - yes.

Look you are all wrong

The god of all that is right Willow told me so.

He said fitzys wasnt a try because the ref didnt award it.

He said the dragoons were not off-side because the ref didnt penalise them

He said gasnier didnt knock on in goal because he gave the roosters a drop out.

So going by these decisions, Sa done nothing wrong because he wasnt penalised nor charged and O Meley was the victim of a diorty player trying to buy a rest and a penalty.

If you dont believe me ask Willow

Sa's shot was a dog act. He deserved atleast 1 week. You cant tackle a player without the ball, let alone smash him into the middle of next week while he's not even looking.

Whilst you can argue Creagh was getting in position to receive the ball - he didn't get it, or even look like getting it. What Sa did was dirty and cheap.

One can only rely on the rugby league gods to get their own back.

Creagh didnt get it because useless Hornby is a hog, he should be charged with impersonating a first grade halfback

You mean impersonating a Test and Origin halfback? Creagh didn't get the ball because he was running into defenders, not a hole. In no way is it Hornby's fault that Creagh was illegally hit without the ball

http://www.leaguehq.com.au/news/new...ap-dispensation/2008/09/08/1220857456202.html

INJURY-ravaged Canberra have had to apply for special salary cap dispensation from the NRL in order to field a full side against Cronulla in Saturday night's second qualifying final.
With second-rower Ben Jones suffering a season-ending knee injury playing last weekend for feeder team Souths Logan in the Queensland Cup and utility Marshall Chalk suffering a broken thumb, the Raiders are down to just 16 available players - forcing them to seek permission from the NRL to exceed the salary cap by blooding Toyota Cup star Joel Thompson.
The latest injury blows leave the NRL's sixth-placed team with as many players on the sideline, with Phil Graham (knee), Lincoln Withers (knee), Michael Weyman (groin), William Zillman (knee), Troy Thompson (Achilles) and Glen Turner (knee) also ruled out for the season.
In addition, Canberra have sacked Todd Carney, stood down Bronx Goodwin for disciplinary reasons and released Michael Dobson to Hull KR, while Tom Learoyd-Lahrs is suspended until after the grand final on a dangerous throw charge - leaving only Chalk, Marc Herbert (knee) and winger Justin Carney (eye) as possible reinforcements if the Raiders advance further into the play-offs.
Having already reached the NRL's $4.1 million salary cap limit and used the second-tier allowance of $350,000 for players from outside their top squad, the Raiders had to ask for dispensation to be allowed to play Thompson in last Sunday's win over the Bulldogs.
"We've just managed to limp into the finals," Canberra chief executive Don Furner said. "We're down to the absolute bare bones at the moment and if Joel couldn't play then me or one of the coaching staff would have to get out there and play."
Raiders football manager David Sharpe added: "I've just got a new pair of boots so I might have a run, or maybe we could use [coaches] Neil Henry or David Furner".
But the situation is so dire that the Raiders have been using another untried rookie in Cy Lasscock as 18th man.
However, Lasscock is due to line up for Souths Logan in the Queensland Cup grand final against against Ipswich on Saturday afternoon and would struggle to get to Cronulla in time for the 6.30pm kick-off.
Should someone else be injured, Canberra would have to decide whether to risk an injured Chalk or again go to the NRL to seek further salary cap relief so Lasscock can make his debut.
Meanwhile, Sydney Roosters prop Mark O'Meley has been cleared to play in Friday night's opening finals match against Brisbane after pleading guilty to a grade-one careless high tackle charge.

No action was taken against Roosters centre Setaimata Sa after the NRL match review committee decided his off-the-ball tackle on Dragons back-rower Ben Creagh last Friday night was not intentional.
"It happened so quick and Ben Creagh raised his hands as if he was about to get the ball," match review commissioner Greg McCallum said. "If you are going to run as a decoy, you've got to be prepared to be tackled."

Danish you have just saved me a posting. I have gone through all this thread without seeing the judiciary statement until now.

I know this will not satisfy all those who have been calling for Sa's execution and agree with Sailor's description of a " dog act ". People will see what they want to see and look for a reason their team lost.

Recent results gave Dragon supporters reason to believe they " owned " the Roosters and were so disappointed that they slipped from finishing 4th to 7th.

Like I said earlier, its open season on support players now. The NRL just ok'd it.

The Roosters lift for a game, an opposition player gets carried off after an ugly incident. coaches to take players out whenever an opportunity arrises, that much is now obvious.

I actually sincerley hope the first support player taken out of the game is Minichiello.

Has McCallum himself declared open slather on players raising their hands up pretending to catch the ball?

I think its actually pretty sad at how much he is whinging.
It shows he is failing to understand the shear physics of Human movement and how impossible it was for Sa to pull out of the attempted tackle in such atrocious conditions. Not to mention the fact that he wishes harm of one of our players as a result of a similar incident.
Quite pathetic really IMO

Sour grapes or not, that's one hell of a low thing to say.

I'm not saying that because he's a Rooster, but because he's been so bloody troubled.

Your pain over this issue makes me supremely happy.

I can only assume that given your insistance on Sa having done wrong, that you stood up and applauded when Melbourne were awarded a penalty try in '99 and handed the game after the infamous stiff arm by young Jamie??

That ought to bring out some REAL whinging!!

The shear physics of human movement? Is this a sheep reference? Do you mean sheer?

Please, dont try to come across as intelligent when you're as dumb as fresh dogsh*t.

Ainscough was rightfully penalised for foul play. Sa wasnt. I would have been surprised if he was suspended but I thought a grade 1 careless was in order. Given they made sure O'Meley got the maximum without suspension though, I'm far from surprised.

Sa knocked out a player off the ball, thats a fact. Its also illegal going by the rules but whats done is done.

I stand by my thoughts on Mini, you guys created the prowler and do it so much O'Meley almost caned one of your own. I really hope Mini gets a prowler in the lower back.
