Take the blinkers off - we've been involved in multiple US wars since WW11, none to our benefit!
As for Syria -the original reason for Coalition of the willing being involved was Assad Regime change and to fight Isis ( installed and weaponised by US) Now as Trump says, what troops are there, are there for the oil! BTW Iran and Russia were invited by Syria to be there, everyone else is an invader & has no right to be anywhere near the place - but it seems 'righties' like you could never accept that.

Did I suggest otherwise?,.Did I suggest all US wars justified?Know all about Vietnam.( a futile war)Know also about Communism and the fear engendered.Interestingly it was a US Democratic leader initially Kennedy who started the increase in military advisers in South Vietnam. And the ill fated Bay of Pigs invasion.

The expected ,US always wrong ,left regimes always innocent.

1991 Gulf War justified.2nd Gulf war not so.
Also know if Pearl Harbour hadn't been attacked, we'd not be a democracy, we'd be underlings. The Yanks were neutral prior.
I guess the fact the Yanks ended up finishing the War in the Pacific ,wasn't to our benefit.

"ISIS was installed and weaponised by the US"? BS .Yet US was bombing the crap out of ISIS in Syria. The US weaponised the Syrian Kurds and free Syrian army ISIS was a mishmash of former Baathist ,disillusioned Iraqis after 2003 invasion ,Yes the US weaponised Saddam Hussein and his regime, and in the long term ISIS benefitted.
I know how the Syrian civil war started in 2011.Started with kids writing nasty things about Assad on walls, the police intervened .kids tortured, then demos and shootings by Assad police, then it exploded.
Russia wanted the use of a Meditteranean seaport for their navy,Syria provided them with the answer.

For you to use the old Assad invited the Russians and Iranians for help, is no different than the South Vietnamese Dieu asking the Yanks for help.Self preservation.
Russia the same mob that shoots down an airline, and denies it.Ask them how come so many journalists have died or disappeared in their country.

The same Assad whose airforce has no problem gassing his people if they oppose him.Or Russia bombing civilians indiscriminately (spelt out by the U.N Human rights). No other country should intervene, let the innocents continue to be slaughtered. What sort of humanity are we to let that continue?

Ah yes the "innocent" Iranians, they have fingers in the terrorist pie all over the ME.Their own people find their military adventures is detrimental to the country. The same mob behind the bombing of the US barracks in Beirut .The locals think so much of their leaders, the recent vote was well down as only conservatives were given free reign. The same mob, who took over the US embassy and held personnel for over 1 year. The same mob holding an Aussie female. They don't invade ,they use proxies to do their dirty work, even in France with dissidents.

Trump wants out of Syria. As for the oil argument that is BS.They are now self sufficient in that aspect. He doesn't want Assad to use the oil against his people. The Turks have a fair idea about how Assad operates.

China invaded Tibet, border wars with India,Russia and Vietnam, and now wanting all of the south China Sea.And a little stoush against the Taiwanese in the middle 20th century trying to take over Quemoy and Matsu islands.Yep in true left fashion nothing to see here.

So called "righties' like me, at least accept and acknowledge flaws in the US foreign policy and of right wing dictatorships,I also accept the flaws in leftist countries foreign and internal policies from Eastern Europe postWW2 to Cuba,China and Venezuela. You have only bagged the US for obvious incidents, but ignored the other side, which according to your comments apparently are above scrutiny.

Recently was in Vietnam, went to the tunnels and war museum. I don't think as humans you can go much lower than what transpired there. The edge of the sword in this case extended beyond the war regarding the use of chemical weapons and birth defects, the sheer horror of some of those poor individuals and the effects that are still in affect to this day. Quite depressing really.

Anyway carry on..

Naah too big for that, some looked like I couldn't fit my head through them let alone the rest of me. It's the birth defects that got me, some are unimaginably horrific. Still offshoots of it present day.

ha
You know they made bigger for us westerners.
I went in last without a torch.
The group ahead of me were quicker than I planned.
I was literally stuck in the middle of one with no light what so ever.
I started freaking out.
Lucky a chick up ahead heard me and came back far enough to shine her torch.

those punji stick traps were pure evil.
Genius move.
Injure one bloke , so another couple had to help him.

I also went to Cambodia
That was just shocking.

I went to Gallipoli as well.
Pretty humbling getting the tour from the Turks point of view.
You can’t blame them for shooting f**kers invading them.
That Attaturk speech on his statue is amazing.

Viet nam? French colonial problem . Became a focal point for spread of communism...backed by two major communist countries.Domino effect and all.Read a book few yrs ago about Australia's participation . PM asked S Vietnamese govt to invite Australia's. Participation. Due to Malasian and Indonesian situation Australia's was keen to PUSH USA involvement and even encouraged carpet bombing of N Vietnamese. YET THIS IS ALWAYS BROUGHT UP AS FOLLOWING AND HELPING USA wars ... BS!
