I’m sure there is.
The gun club thing is sus as.
But that soccer club were only targeted because scomo was photographed there for the opening .

People in here bagged the club out.
Yet couldn’t name one single more deserving club.

Imagine how the people who have devoted all those years to the club felt when the media made it look like they didn’t deserve it.

What a bunch of miserable merkins.

It was a San Souci Club that got the fiddy grand grant for a building that was already built and had been officially opened before the thing was even awarded. They were not even elgibile for the grant.

Stinks big time.

San Souci was mentioned / raised in the Senate Inquiry and then hit the House of Reps Question Time today. No mention of Lilli Pilli yet.

but they were retired?
Is there any law forcing him to meet retired firemen?
There are plenty of legal people looking at getting a prosecution going against scomo for when he refused to meet with the retired fire chiefs and there for contributed the the fire catastrophe. Look at the time line . If he had met them and listened, then acted, lives and property could have been saved. He didn’t and should resign.
Gutless Labour for not bring this on.
bahahahaha the lying Pirx are on Tim Flannery the frauds pay roll!!

Scientists who assess the planet's health see indisputable evidence that Earth has been getting warmer, in some cases rapidly. Most believe that human activity, in particular the burning of fossil fuels and the resulting buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, have influenced this warming trend. In the past decade scientists have documented record-high average annual surface temperatures and have been observing other signs of change all over the planet: in the distribution of ice, and in the salinity, levels, and temperatures of the oceans.

I'm interested in the economic action that will eventually be taken.

I think asset prices are overvalued, interest rates and returns are too low (and with nothing else changing interest rates look like eventually going negative).

I wouldn't mind this being given the space to make a market correction. Hiccups and risks to cash flow should be priced in, which they have not been in recent times. It's a time bomb waiting to go off. People are going to be hurt now or later.

This is a global phenomenon though. Our government is *somewhat* limited. Our dollar, assets and stocks will be valued globally. I'd just like to see domestic policy not needlessly over-inflate our asset prices. Give ourselves the biggest buffer possible.

They'll probably have to pump money in somewhere. Where and how is the key.

I'm not an expert and I don't know what advice he's getting.
Well if you read the news he has already basically declared it a pandemic.
This is before any other countries.
Before the world health org.
No flights from China.
Australia apparently has vast supplies of medicine for such an outbreak.
Stockpiled around the country.
He has said they will use this if needed.

not a lot he can do .
He could test everyone coming into the country ... someone would whinge no doubt.
Invasion of privacy or some bullshit.

maybe close all ports
( he has already discussed how to handle it with border force)
Make everyone stay home.

I’m going over seas next week so Ive been keeping up to date.
I know 3 people that had cruise cancelled.
So far we are still ok to go.

Nah, you'd tell us about how many kids learn to swim there. Which you might be justified in doing.

This isn't about whether somewhere is worthy. Nearly every sports club/facility has some merit.

It's whether the money for this particular type of grant was allocated in the way it was intended.
