Better player than Scott, similar money, could actually come here.

Kane Evans with the stone Fiji connection

Yeah, I agree there's not much off contract this year and certainly nobody that could replace Scott.

Are there any good forwards running around in the UK at the moment? You'd think between Midley, Besdy and Sandercock they'd be able to get us someone.
Big Mose Masoe is off contract this year I believe. He can be lazy but showed in the Four Nations how much of a weapon he can be.

I'd go after Francis Molo from the Broncos, he's a young prop who's abit forgotten about up there, there's another guy who I'd look at named Caleb Timu, was a gun forward in NYC who went on a 2 year mormon mission that finishes this year

No thanks to Bird, the bloke is a shit influence and isn't going to change his stripes this late. Great football player for sure, but a shit human. He's only 1 more incident away from expulsion from the NRL, I would think.

Masoe I could cop. I could certainly live with Manu, Brown or Glenn, too.

There will definitely be a bit of an aggro-gap if we lose both Smith and Scott - but we haven't seen Tariq play for us yet, either. I don't think the need to bring in more aggression is absolutely necessary at this point, as long as we don't bring in complete powderpuffs.

We should sign Bird and then run with a Scott/Sims/Bird backrow just to troll the Cowboys.

Pauli Pauli and Ethan Lowe are the two backrowers I would target.

Albert Vete and dare I say it Wicks of the props on that list.

Keeping in line with what is realistic and what I see as value.

I think we should definitely go for a power play and try to sign someone amazing. From the looks of it, our juniors are coming along nicely and I'm confident we will produce a couple of really solid first graders in the next couple of years. What we need is a Sam Burgess or a Sonny Bill Williams. I doubt any of them two would come though... Who else is a super star forward?

I agree. Get rid of Gidley, Faalogo, Gagai, Smith and Scott (only if he really wants to leave).

Then go balls to the wall for a superstar.

Assuming Gidley, Smith, Scott and Gagai leave at the end of the year. That's a fair million dollars and I'd throw every f**king cent at Sam Burgess. Mamo will fill out in the Fullback role over the years regardless of how much improvement he still has, Sione will take Gagai's place, Rochow can fill in at lock and we've got the talent in U20's and NSW Cup to fill the bench.

Burgess wouldn't disappoint.

The impact Sam Burgess would have at this club would be phenomenal.

Players like Rochow, T.Sims, K.Sims, Tapine, Vaivai, Finn, Taylor would benefit immensely from Burgess.

And that's not even taking into consideration what he offers as an individual player on the field.

T.Sims, K.Sims, Snowden and Burgess all firing in the same side is a delicious thought.

I certainly agree that taking all the money and throwing it towards one superstar forward is the way to go but realistically I don't think we could get one and there aren't even any available.

It's a nice dream though.

I think we should look to the UK.

Pommie forwards have a solid history of performing well in the NRL.

Out of that list, all the obvious names have been mentioned and I think we should make a play for someone like manu, just to give us a bit of punch, or Glenn just to sure up our back row.

In saying that, our back row is still pretty good.

Not too concerned. Basically what JM said. I think he's given us his best and I don't think his best years are ahead of him.

Also, we have Tariq now.. Tapine to step up hopefully too.
