Well, why not run awards for those sites ON those sites? I mean, you call it the official Eels messageboard awards. Doesn't that allude to ONE messageboard?

I just don't think that the front row has any part in awards that are obstensively for another site. Especially official awards for a club that would certainly offer no return advertisement for this one.

I don't think there's any dramas with having the awards athough it's not right for us to leave the word "official" in the title. Some person from Parra may take it to mean that the awards themselves are officially linked with the parraeels site when they're not. You get what I'm saying? I'm not sure I do, lol

Misty, you're not the only that was asked to be a mod in this forum. ;-)

This is from one the board's administrators:

"The main job of the moderator is to keep the discussions flowing while being on the look out for material which may place the site under threat (such as defamation)."

I don't see how the complaints you have made qualify under this description of a mod's job. What El Duque (Mango Man) has written, is a fair comment though.

MC,in last years awards it was actually who "seemed" the oldest,not who IS the oldest....but i remember who won that award & he made a good speech....eventually :lol:

There were also nicest poster,sweetest poster & poster who posts to get their post count up awards...

That might be the case, but it was Admin's call to take the action, not mine. I merely queried it. But I do agree with it. This ISN"T the official site, is it!

As the awards are now not 'official' anymore, go for it!

BTW, for what's it's worth, I think you should accept that offer. I reckon you'd be good at it.
