Actually it is about Souths. It's also about the nature of contracts.

Teach them for offering a 2 year deal.

And doesn't it break your heart that clubs have to pay out contracts when they break them..

Maybe it's about the Broncos too giving Bennett the extra year they don't want him for.

Seibold was unproven at this level. Still is really given the end of season fade out.

As much as I am not a fan of Bennett and I think he is getting more irrelevant each year, he has earned the right as a coach to do what he wants.
Siebold and Cleary have shown their true characters.
Cleary is a mercenary and willing to work in a dictatorship run by a lying meglomaniac (where he isn't the dictatorship) simply for the money and to work with his son. Some merit but I lost all respect for him going back to Gould.
Siebold not only stabbed Maguire in the back but now the whole club.He thinks he is a genius and its all about him. The fact he has decided he doesn't want to work for a joke of a club with an inept CEO is amusing but its not about that

Cleary let emotion rule a professional decision.

Seibold is a newer breed of coach - he's MBA qualified isn't he? Strategy and process-driven. A lot of the decision for Souths to take back their 20s and NSW Cup side came from him i reckon. I guess a club he played for and from his home state came after him with more cash. Shit that he accepted an interview and all...even shitter that Brisbane approached a coach contracted to another club. Say all you want about them searching for 2020, their objective (White and board) was to have a new coach start this off season prep and have another club take Bennett off their hands. They have to pay for it though and that's where the stand-off is. In the process, they're leaving their new coach hung out to dry at his incumbent club that doesn't want him

Bringing Back the ISP and 20s come from a big push from the old brigade at Souffs. They have been pushing for a while and finally forced fat richos hand.

Its a good thing for the club but unfortunately it will lead to them owing the juniors even more millions

I'd say juniors have realised how less relevant they can be if they aren't a direct stepping stone to NRL. Yes it's great for Juniors to run the program right up to SP, but it's definitely a collaboration.

On the coaching saga, reports the 'stand-off' will be resolved this week with a meeting of the broncos board. Ultimately it comes down to them paying the money to make it happen and being the biggest merkins on the planet by sacking their 6-time premiership and game's longest serving coach, a fallout they're obviously trying to manage.

Young squad syndrome. Penrith have suffered from this one for many moons.

Seibold looks set for 6th place finish, out second week of the finals.

Wests Tigers sacked Jason Taylor and paid him out. That is perfectly fine and OK. Ivan Cleary sacked Wests Tigers and paid them out, and that isn't fine?

a 1-4 start doesn't set you up for a 6th place finish.

Broncos shit stinks from the top.

Most probably. But I see similarities in their squad to the Panthers of recent years 2016-2018.

Penrith were 2 from 4, which subsequently turned to 2 from 9 to start the 2017 season. We scraped in the 8 at 7th.

Very young team, little to no direction from the halves. But an ultra talented squad.

And like the Broncs, we stole our coach too.

They look destined to have a mediocre season.

Wests Tigers are an organisation and have the careers and stakeholders of many to consider.

Clearly just thought about himself

You clearly have limited experience with contracts. Taylor was sacked for non performance (Contract frustrated as one side of the contract could not be fulfilled. There was not contractual frustration with Cleary, he is just a merkin.

You live by the sword, you die by it.

I wouldnt recommend that Panthers fans start courting Karma.

Tiges still trying to get over the mistake of sacking JT mid contract.
