Channel 7 reporting Barrett to Sharks. Commiserations on your impending wooden spoon Shire folk. (I'd be lying if I said I didn't burst out laughing when I heard).

The better mail says he won't be here.

Channel 7 just repeat what another news source has speculated.

Simple maths really.....Broncos plus Thoroughbreds plus the Courier Mail minus Andrew Gee and Ken Talbot was always always going to be greater than the Sharks plus Buzz Rothfield and the Telecrap.

Couldn’t I just go through the broncos over the last 10 years and find just as many incidents.?
Look at this year.
Coaching debacle
Letting that piece of human shit Lodge play for you.
Greg Bird disaster
Kev Walters left
Another year another failure on feild
Annihilated by the Dragons in front of your home crowd.

Andrew Gee sitting next to Bennett when h is meant to be banned from the NRL.

Maybe you should be more concerned about your mob.

You left out :

Beat the crappy sharks twice

After the PEDs debacle the whole clubs admin including coaching staff should have been cleaned out.

Flanno not being there, would not have affected there 2016 premiership even by a bees dick IMO

Granted that Flanno didn't live up to the terms of his ban and should cop his punishment, but I can understand the ire of the Sharks fans. Just seems to be a ridiculous inconsistency with the way they handle things. Flanno will get banned for being in contact with the club while on a ban for the PED controversy (again fair enough,) but as others have mentioned convicted wife beaters, psychos terrorising women and families in the US and guys who have served time for beating the shit out of someone are all still playing the game.

They've made a rod for their back here and the fans won't accept it anymore. Moreover, what happens if the NRL decide to deregister Walker, Musgrove, Hayne or JDB if any of them are convicted? Do they appeal saying that Inglis, AFB, Lui & A'uva were all let back into the game.

The NRL is paying for their inaction, and now are being called to account by the fans for what they perceive to be gross inconsistency.

Flano will get a banned for emailing, domestic violence offenders will get didly squat.
He was banned for the players getting PEDs under his watch, he did not complete the terms of his suspension so he is facing another ban. He is being banned for the drug cheating that occurred at the club because he didn't complete the ban last time?

Are you asking a question?

The point is, his punishment will be far greater than someone whom has bashed somebody.

It’s pretty simple really, Flanno deserves a substantial ban. He broke the terms of the ban. There is no grey area on this one.

The wife bashers, drug snorters and thugs are a completely seperate issue for the NRL. All deserve a ban, but also need a chance after there ban is complete to return to the game. Of course a second offender needs to be shown the door.

Flanno should not be the only person hung out to dry, what about the people who were carrying out his instructions?? Anyway a two year ban would suit the crime

If what has been reported is accurate, then Flanagan has no one to blame but himself for this. His ban was quite specific, he was to have no contact with any players or officials at the Sharks for 12 months. He pretty much got off with a warning when he turned up at a Sharks lower grade trial early on during the ban when it was claimed he was there to watch his son play.

The media reports are that he is going to be sanctioned as the NRL found he breached the ban multiple times. I mean how thick do you have to be when you know the NRL have the power to compel clubs to turn over emails, mobile phones etc to then contact Sharks officials during your banned period on a device the NRL can access?

People want to bring up the bashing situation. To me its a bit disingenuous. Hitting women is wrong (let alone hitting anyone else is wrong), but more than that, the situations we are talking about are criminal offences. Criminals are punished by the judicial system set up by the state, not the one set up by the NRL. The NRL are loathe to act on accusations because they don't want to be accused of prejudicing anyone's case when they are in court, and also they have the example of what occurred in the Brett Stewart situation.

You always have to give a person a second chance after they have completed a ban and what ever treatment/ courses.....but as I said second offence, the door is locked.
There are thousands of stories of people turning the life’s around
