Gallen's a merkin of the lowest order.

Real smart thing to do with the pressure and focus on the Sharks club at the moment.

If this racist grub gets to wear the Sky Blue jersey again I'll just about throw it all in.

He'll probably get selection, how I don't know. If he's captain I'll consider selling my SOO2 ticket.

I love the implication from carcharias - because Gallen's probably been called a few choice words in the past that means it's OK for him to make an allegedly (for Craigshark's benefit) racist remark? Puh-lease...

I love it when you assume everyone is the a shire a racist because of the actions of a few.

You could same the same for any race in any part of Sydney.

Please remind me ....why did that cronulla riot start?

Continue your crusade elsewhere buddy, I haven't said anything about the Shire or race-relations in that area, you've got me confused with someone else I think. My problem is the allegations between Gallen and Paea, nothing else.

What happens on the field, stays on the field; besides I'd back Gallen over Paea any day in a blue.
 Gallen coundn't pound stuffing into a turkey.

He is a dog of the highest order and it will be an absolute travesty if they make this grub captain of the blues.

and paea is not a cat?....ffs he stood on gallens hand
I think you need to watch it again, it was clearly accidental. Just one of those things that can happen. Gallen overeacted, he got up and lashed out at Paea.
Paea had his hands up and initially seemed oblivious to Gallen's problem. In the same instant, Gallen said something - then it was on for young and old. Paea was being held back and Gallen couldn't get far enough away. Corey Hughes stepped in from the Sharks to help Paea to settle down - Hughes knew straight away. At the same time several St George players stepped in to hold Paea back, as well as the refs talking and a trainer assisting. If they weren't there, Gallen would have been belted - his back-peddling was pretty evident.

Gordon Tallis - who we all know was a tough bugger - said on Fox a few weeks ago he didn't rate Gallen as a tough player. Did too many grubby and cheap things in his opinion. I'd say the same. No doubt he's a damaging player on his day but tough is something I'd apply to Petero, steve Price, Luke Bailey etc not . Or even blokes like Preston Campbell.

agreed. most of the players I think are really tough play within the rules and are devastating anyway. even little lachlan coote is a tough little bitch ... tackle on willie mason last night anyone?

there's no place for that dirty sh*t in the game anymore.

so what are your thoughts on Barry Ward?

is he not on your board?
Where have I said I support Barry Ward? His actions were disgraceful and he was penalised for what he did. I didn't support his board election campaign. He's there now, good for him.

I thought this topic was about Paul Gallen... :?

plus it doesn't even matter really ... if paea deliberately stepped on his hand, racial slurs are never ok. that's just it.

you brought not attending Origin because of Gallen into it yet support a club who has a board member who was fined for racial villification

seems very hypocritical

hillbillyjazzer wake up to yourself. You look like a fool here.

Looks to me like you're saying that racial vilification is acceptable if the guy accidentally does something to you first. Is that really the stance you're trying to portray? You might want to think long and hard before you answer that one.

As for the incident, it's clear that Paea wanted to go on with it. Jason Robinson asked what his complaint was, and he clearly said what Gallen said to him. Jason Robinson then said "What's the nature of your complaint?" and, given that it was clear Robinson was going to keep asking until Paea backed down, he gave up.
Are you suggesting Paea can't make the decision for himself?

Actually I thought the ref did his best to urge Paea to speak up. He could see that Paea was worried about it escalating off the field and told him that he had no problem with hearing his complaint. Paea was clearly thinking about it but the end decision was his to make.

Lucky for Gallen and well done to Paea. Although the media and the fans will be less forgiving.

What is hypocritical is fining Barry Ward, but not even presenting a case for Gallen to answer to.

Ward was found guilty and paid the price. He shouldn't be made to pay for it over and over.
